Early Access Review
Please note this is a table top simulator, NOT a board game simulator. Yes, you can play board games on it. You can throw things at it. You can flip it. You can do anything you could do with a real table; even haul it into the woods, or a hallway in an industrial complex of some kind. If you're expecting the kind of user interface one of the dedicated digital versions of a board game might offer, you're out of luck. You have to physically move the pieces by hand in order to move them. You pick up cards off a deck to draw them. There are conveniences such as shuffling features and a hand for keeping cards secret, but don't expect a whole lot of fancy visual effects. It's just a tabletop. That said, I think just about any board game could be played comfortably on this, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this more than say, vassal, which can simulate a board game, but only by drawing on a white background. Having the table improves the social aspect more than you'd think. Plus you can flip the table and cause the server to crash, so there's that. Speaking of, the physics is kinda bad. I think this wouldn't be too good for dungeon crawls in spite of supporting them, simply because locking things into place is finicky and you'd probably destroy your dungeon in the act of moving a piece. Also, there's no way to include fog of war, unless that's been added recently. Overall worth buying if you want a cyberspace table to crowd around like that one episode of Ghost in the Shell.

Hi there, thanks for the review! Just to clarify that there is a "hidden areas" feature, which can be used for fog of war. Either click the side menu button (hotkey is F4) to stay in that mode, or just press H and you'll see a little fog icon, then just drag with your mouse to create your hidden area. More details will be in a future tutorial video. Speaking of which, please check out our Tutorial Series: http://www.berserk-games.com/wiki/tabletop-simulator/tutorial-series as you'll find a lot of nifty features you might not have known about, with more videos to come.
