TLDR: Because of community pressure, LIBERTY, FREEDOM and MANAGED DEMOCRACY, Sony has for the most part, reversed their decision to require linking a PSN account to play on PC. However, there are still 6 countries still where Helldivers 2 cannot be activated or purchased; Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria. This restrictions are most likely due to or by association with nations guilty of human rights violations. It should be noted that Sony keep their word in fully reversing restricting the game after they took players money, only after ONE FULL YEAR +1 MONTH from May 2024. As such, since the game can once again be played by the majority of players, I fully endorse this game, once again.

My picks for best unlocks per Premium Warbond so you can make an informed decision which to purchase or wait to farm Super Credits. IMO Democratic Detonation and Cutting Edge should be considered your first 2 warbonds to grab as they each have the most plentiful top tier picks for weapon loadouts.

Forces of Law
• Armor passives - Ballistic Padding - 25% chest & explosive dmg resist, chest bleed immune
• rest is mostly cosmetic, Judge Dredd vibes, weapons are OK but still mid

Masters of Ceremony
• Armor passive: Reinforced Epaulettes - +30% primary reload speed, +50% melee dmg
• CQC-2 Saber is nice melee

Borderline Justice
• LAS-58 Talon, medum pen sidearm, 7 rounds before reload, fire 6 and let cooldown for infinite ammo, good against bots
• R-6 Deadeye marksman primary, style points, med pen, hits hard @ 300 dmg but painfully slow 8 round reload
• Hover Pack stratagem, nice alt version of jump pack

Servants of Freedom
• Armor passive: Integrated Explosive - you explode 1.5s after death, +2 grenades!
• G-50 Seeker grenade, med pen @ 400 dmg, functions as exploding drone, nice against squids in mega cities
• Portable Hellbomb stratagem, self explanatory, arm using key that activates backpack slot, drop and run
• LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle, old & meaner cousin to Sickle, starts at light pen but increases dmg & has HEAVY PEN based on heat build up but WILL dmg you. I HIGHLY recommend using INFLAMMABLE armor, use while prone to avoid being set on fire and take Vitality Booster.
• GP-20 Ultimatum, *NERFED* use to have 50 demo force (could destroy detector tower, radar jammer, etc), down to 40 demo force. I'd pass on this one for now.

Urban Legends
• Anti-Tank Emplacement stratagem, 1000% worth getting, takes out enemy spawners, leviathans, gunships, etc, relatively low cooldown
• Armor passive: Siege-Ready - +30% primary reload speed, +20% ammo capacity of non-backpack weapons (recoiless, AC, etc)

Truth Enforcers
• UF-50 Bloodhound med armor: Unflinching - reduced flinching when hit, 125 armor bumps it past dmg breakpoint, map markers generate radar scans every 2 sec.
• SMG-32 Reprimand, med pen, hard hitting 2-handed primary @ 125 dmg, with weapon customisation this weapons is VERY nice

Chemical Agents
• G-4 Gas grenade, can close enemy spawners, EXCELLENT crowd control
• P-11 Stim Pistol, sidearm, nice for support playstyle, devs might buff to make it auto track
• "Guard Dog" Dog Breath stratagem, buffed to tag targets then move to next, good crowd control for bugs and squids

Freedom's Flame
• Armor passive: Inflammable - 75% fire resist, VERY useful against Incinerator Corps & when using Double-Edge Sickle
• P-72 Crisper, sidearm with low ammo but 380 fire dmg & can set targets & ground on fire

Viper Commandos
• Armor passive: Peak Physique - +100% melee dmg, gives MUCH better ergonomics for weapons (drag coefficient between where you point camera & where you weapon is actually aiming)
• Experimental Infusion booster, while stims are in effect increased movement speed and dmg reduction, A+ Tier booster

Polar Patriots
• PLAS-101 Purifier, med pen primary, charges to 500 dmg explosive but forgoing charge removes explosion making point-blank fire safe, EXCELLENT bot gun!
• P-113 Verdict, med pen sidearm, basically a Desert Eagle
• AR-61 Tenderizer primary, Starship Troopers inspired gun, 105 dmg is quite decent but no weapon customisation atm.

Democratic Detonation
• G-123 Thermite sticky grenade, Anti-Tank@ 2000 pen 7 dmg, will 1-shot chargers, enemy spawners, ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT
• BR-14 Adjudicator, primary, 95 med pen dmg, my favorite AR but needs weapon customisation
• R-36 Eruptor, primary, was good, nerfed, buffed, bugged, nerfed but NOW with buff and weapon customisation this gun ♥♥♥♥♥ HARD! focus on increasing ergonomics when customising, CAUTION not a close range weapon!
• GP-31 Grenade Pistol, side arm, med pen 650 explosive dmg, closes bug holes making it almost necessary for bug missions
• CB-9 Exploding Crossbow, primary, SILENT fire, med pen explosive @ 620 dmg, ONE-HANDED

Cutting Edge
• LAS-16 Sickle, light pen primary, infinite ammo if you manage heat
• G-23 Stun grenade, NO dmg but stuns targets making it easy to line up head or weakpoint shots
• LAS-7 Dagger, light pen sidearm
• ARC-12 Blitzer shotgun primary, med pen @ 250 dmg, INFINITE AMMO, high stagger & stun, BEST overall bug gun, auto targets so careful of friendly fire

Steeled Veterans
• P-4 Senator, HEAVY ARMOR PEN as sidearm, 200 dmg, it's a 6 round hand cannon, can reload individual rounds
• SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary, light pen primary, was beast, then nerfed, then fire buff & made even better with weapon customization, incendiary rounds means no stagger or stun, tag targets to set on fire & let burn before tagging again to maximize effectiveness
• JAR-5 Dominator, med pen primary @ 275 dmg, focus on ergonomics for weapon customisation

*UPDATE PATCH 1.003.102*
Weapon customisation is a major boon! This has breathed new life into weapons that were mid, making them absolute beasts in putting down enemies. Devs have continued to slowly but steadily add more content. Armor passives for past Premium Warbonds have had MUCH welcome and need buffs! Mega cities (full city map) missions are now found across all 3 factions. Regional restrictions are (for the most part) finally lifted, meaning the long promised "review bomb" cape will soon be released. The upcoming ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X is coming this holiday season. With it's Xbox & Steam integration, this means Xbox player reinforcement is on it's way. I feel there still needs to be more to do at the end game but overall, after 637 hours playing I am still enjoying the game, albeit I do hope the devs are able to increase optimisation for the game, perhaps add DLSS or FSR.

*INITIAL IMPRESSIONS AT PURCHASE*
TLDR: Looks good, can't play because servers full. Wait until AFTER devs fix to buy.

I LOVE the atmosphere which is DEFINITELY NOT inspired by Starship Troopers.
However COMA I've literally been stuck at "servers at capacity" which I know the devs are working on but as of this review (which I may change later) I cannot in good conscious recommend at this time.
I am happy for the devs success but it's clear they weren't ready for it and as a result the game suffers.
