S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a pretty good game, but only if it lets you play it, and that's a pretty big if. Most of the time it takes 2-3 attempts to start the game because the progress bar gets stuck in the shader compilation screen during startup, requiring me to kill the process.

The game, at the moment, is very unoptimised, you get very bad frame drops in many places; towns especially. Over time, performance gets worse to a point that I need to restart the game to somewhat reset it and get a playable framerate back.

Would I recommend the game *right now*? No, not at all. It's a bit of a headache to get it to run.
But I'll keep this review positive because while there are issues right now, they ARE being worked on by the devs and the game isn't abandoned. There is a good game under all of this, and I believe it'll be amazing in a few months to a year from now.
