Awesome game, with lots of content for new players, as well as the freedom to create your own story and adventure. It's super fun to play with friends.
However, you need to embrace the PvP element in this PvEvP game. After all, it is a pirate game, silly.

If you're not comfortable with PvP, don't worry. Private servers are coming soon, where you can play without worries and learn the game before venturing into the "High Seas".

That being said, the game currently feels stale and boring for players who have exhausted all available content. It mainly involves constant grinding without much variety. Also, the servers have their issues, there are many bugs, toxicity in the community, lack of communication between developers and veteran players, and more.

Personally, I really love this game. I initially bought it in the MS store and then got it on Steam. I've been playing for a year and a half, accumulating 2500 hours. I didn't get the chance to play arena mode, so I had to learn PvP the hard way. Now, I've completed everything the game has to offer and I'm simply playing to enjoy the company of my friends or grind whatever new content Rare throws at us (such as captaincy, guilds, or hourglass items).

Hopefully, there will be changes coming soon for us. But if you're a new and casual player, trust me, you will be overwhelmed with content! Enjoy and have fun, and hopefully we'll meet on the seas to share a grog and play a shanty!
