Now to disclaim the ♥♥♥♥ I'm going to say immediately post this sentence, I love this game and can't wait for the sequel.

That being said, I use the command console to give myself infinite money because the resource system is powered by a manual task and a timer that takes your resources away.

The dungeons you send your followers to raid basically require you to use the wiki to solve and while the non-repeatable dungeon loot is static the order you get them in is random. Also, ♥♥♥♥ The Boat.

The end-game conditions are super critic, intentionally so, knowing that the one time in the game you need to use a rite for something other then summoning or ending the game is to turn the "Bitterblack salt" into "Blue Gold"; is not spelled out anywhere but the wiki.

From the stance of playing a single-player Narrative Boardgame it's not bad. The card-and-verb system is suitably mystic, the little bits of lore you get from the in game books is well written, and I like the coffee shop art style.

Overall I'm looking forward to the sequel "Book of Hours" and hope it improves on the format and the mechanics.
