Desperately tried to like this game having enjoyed most Ubi titles and expecting this to be essentially AC Odyssey in an SW setting...and I think it sort of does try to be that.

It tries, but it really doesn't succeed. The maps feel barren but the cities claustrophobic, the stealth mechanics get very repetitive and become a chore quickly. Yes you can sort of fight your way out if you screw up, but with some areas having infinite spawns it rapidly puts you in a position where reloading is the sane option.

For me the biggest let down was the bland combat and inability to actually use anything besides your blaster. I stupidly assumed that I would actually be able to have other weapons based on seeing Kay use things other than the blaster - but nope. You can pick other weapons up but they are all one time use - once they run out of ammo you're done. This really kills so much of the potential variety as you're just stuck using your one blaster which has a few upgrades sure but still limits you to that specific play style.

I don't really know who this game is for, the stealth mechanics are pretty poor and combat is specifically gimped to force you to rely on the janky stealth mechanic. This game takes a good working formula from previous Ubi titles and throws it in the dumpster to produce a totally mediocre game that does not do anything well. There really isn't a single thing that I can think of where this game stands out.
