Lethal League Blaze is an incredible sequel to a game that I played for nearly 1k hours. Blaze has a similar feel to the original Lethal League but with updated graphics and a new mechanics. They have also added on more game modes such as Lethal Volley(Lethal League but with Vollleyball rules) and story, which help provide a little background into the world of Lethal League. On top of all this the developers are pretty involved with the community, even reaching out to several dedicated players of the original game for testing and balance on this one.

I'm likely going to playing Blaze for another 1k hours, but I do feel like I should point out some things to improve upon. Firstly, while the inclusion of ranked mode is great, it's a bit of a grind fest which mostly rewards time played vs actual skill as you get matches against anyone queued up for rank instead of the game matching you based on rank (At rank 10 I usually end up playing against ranks 1000-4000 on a regular basis). The inclusion of story mode is also great, but it falls a little flat at times and feels like a slightly different arcade mode, but considering it is a "fighting" game I'm not going to weigh it too heavily

The best way to describe how the game feels is that it will be fun and enjoyable if you are looking for solid gameplay, a fun party game, or a competitive fighter; however the game doesn't follow through on some of the things that will get players hooked. Story mode is great, but lacks a lot of the meaty bits that hardcore lore fans are interested in. Ranked mode is awesome, but with poor matchmaking and unbalanced point gains it will turn away a lot of the hardcore players. I'm hoping that these things get remedied in the future and will enhance the experience of the game tenfold but as it stands right now the way to get the best experience for this game is to make friends within the community and just keep playing for the sake of playing.

PROS
- Great Soundtrack
- Fun gameplay and design
- Revamped mechanics, visuals, and modes
- Developer involvement
- Promise of more to come

CONS
- Ranked mode is kind of a grindfest right now
- Flat story mode
- Tutorial kinda weak
- Few unnecessary locked items (Such as How to Play 2 and Training)
