The core game is very fun, especially if you're into asymmetrical type games or a big fan of horror pop culture.
However, the developers of this game are highly incompetent, and paying attention to how they handle their game leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

SOME EXAMPLES ARE:

-Completely ignoring or brushing off the critiques and suggestions of their playerbase in their Q&A's

-Being so petty as to remove a streamer(Dowsey's) cosmetics because he dared criticize the state of the game and meme on the team)

-An endless cycle of implementing either useless or broken perks, only to then adjust it to the opposite extreme. If not that, then allow it to stay easily abused for a while despite this situation being completely avoidable if they would just listen to the players who played the Public Test Beta.

-A ridiculous lack of setting options that should be an industry standard, such as advanced audio/graphics settings that go beyond just basic low/med/high presets.

-Being incredibly so out of touch with the playerbase that they continuously defend updates, despite being unanimously hated by the community, such as the SBMM update.

-Ignoring long lasting bugs that have been well known for a while now (i.e. nurse blink bug)

-The performance and optimization of the game seemingly getting worse and worse each patch.

-The ridiculous grind of this game with the bloodweb and perk system, being more egregious than even gacha games (which are literally games designed to take your money and your time)

Overall it's clear to me that the developers don't even bother playing or testing their game at all, and they possess this "it's our game, we can do whatever we want" mentality that really leaves the playerbase with an awful impression of them.

Death Battle: History edition

The core gameplay is fun and addicting, with tons of action to be found and is overall a great experience if you're looking for a hectic shooter.

However, the game is riddled with tons of bugs, optimization issues, and frequent crashes. If you want a smooth experience, you won't find it here

Went inside a vent while sneaking past a xenomorph and then proceeded to shoot him with my revolver knowing this 10 foot tall giant couldn't possibly fit inside such a narrow tube.

It crawled in and grabbed me as I proceeded to contemplate exactly where I went wrong in life.

10/10 would piss my pants again

Starts off slow, however the more you progress through the bosses, dungeons, etc. the greater you see the vastness of this world and what it has to offer. I'm not one for survival games, but this one is a compelling play.

Fair warning though: it does have performance issues at the time of writing this. I definitely meet more than the recommended specs suggest, yet I can barely achieve a stable 60 fps on this 500mb game even with most of the demanding graphics settings turned to low.
