Early Access Review
One of the most fun games I've ever played.

The character abilities are a welcome change from the old quake games in my eyes since it adds a lot more variety to the gameplay instead of the old everyone is equal until the guy overdosed with upgrades decides to bulldoze you formula. The abilities aren't terribly broken anyway and are on pretty lengthy cooldowns so they really shouldn't be too concerning. Having a selection of different champions with different styles lets you find your own style in the game, and clicking with these would give even more of a reason to stay and learn how to use them to their greatest effect.

PROS:
+Game is still the fast paced Quake we all know and love.
+Abilities add spice into the gameplay with its variety.
+Game is free (up to june 18th on Early Access, and on release)
+Characters have their own spunk in them
+Movement and gunplay are great
+Cosmetics
+Many servers worldwide, and you can select which you want to allow yourself to connect to
+Lizard waifu

CONS:
-Always played online
-No bot matches yet
-Custom games are limited to champion pack owners
-Characters need to be unlocked (without the champions pack)
-Bandwidth usage increases with the FPS (From what I've heard)
-Optimization isn't great
-Lizard waifu's tail is too short
-Microtransactions (No pay to win elements though so that's great)

I had an absolute blast playing this game, it's definitely worth trying. I'd say it's easier to pick up compared to past Quake titles, but also has a higher skill ceiling because of the introduction of the different abilities that could add a lot of depth to how a character plays

I'm absolutely hooked. Definitely one of my favorite games at the moment, and here's why

PROS:

+The game and its core are very creative, giving you the freedom to play with your own style for whichever character you please, and also offers a heck load of characters to choose from.

+Devs are responsive to the community and are quick to address balance issues as needed.

+Gameplay is active at almost all times, with no incredibly long respawn timers and the journey to get back into the action is made very quick with your mounts. Out of combat healing also means you can get back into combat faster since there's no great hunt for healthpacks whenever you're low.

+Ultimates are toned down to an appropriate level. The thing I dislike the most about Overwatch is how easy it is to pull off ults and make them be impactful enough to win the round. In Paladins, you're gonna need to coordinate your ults to make them matter and no single ult could ever lead to a solo teamwipe

+The skins are wonderful. Not only do they alter your appearance, but they also offer new effects and voicelines to the character. You can also equip a separate weapon skin from your character skin.

CONS:

-On the downside though, the game still has some unresolved bugs, with the LSD bug being the worst offender to me. They're actively trying to resolve it so I'm not too worried.

-Removal of parts and pieces. You used to be able to customize your character's appearance a lot more before. This change makes the accessories from before absolutely worthless now.

All in all I give this game a solid 8/10. It still has some ways to improve, but at its current state its already plenty enjoyable

New to Fighting Games? New to BlazBlue? Whatever it may be, try this out.

Why is this game worth your time? Here are a few reasons
  • Great Tutorial - Explains how the game works perfectly well.
You'll be guided through everything you need to know,
be it advanced mechanics or basics

  • Singleplayer Content- Only plan on doing singleplayer?
You'll have a lot of modes to enjoy. A few modes to keep you busy
might be story mode, arcade mode, Score Attack
or even a difficult Boss battle against a laser firing giant. There are
    much more to enjoy

  • Multiplayer Content - Not satisfied with being alone?
Socialize! What did you expect out of a fighting game?
Of course it would have multiplayer. Not only that, but there are also
little things that make it more enjoyable.Such as having your own room
(AS IN AN ACTUAL ROOM YOU CAN DECORATE WITH FURNITURE)
Having a decent netcode, leveling, match recording.
I don't really know everything myself but I'm sure there's more to it

  • Challenge mode - Tired of learning and making up combos
by yourself? Lost? Try this out.
It teaches you combos from beginner to advanced and
is available for whichever character strikes your fancy

  • Training Mode - Like with every fighting game, it needs to have
a training mode. BlazBlue's training mode is very customizable,
allowing a better, more adaptable training experience.
Hone in your skills by creating specific situation or
simply just beat at a poor defenseless body. You do you.

  • Unique Cast - Everyone in this game plays very differently
from each other (Except Lambda and Nu)
It's very likely that you'll find a character that fits your style.
Having to face against different threats and learning how to counter
them is also quite a fun challenge. Eliminates staleness, you know?

  • Stylish mode - Are you a masher? Are you so bad at fighting
games that you can't even grasp the idea of combos?
Select this mode when starting a battle.
It essentially just auto does your character's combos just by pressing
a single button over and over.
It also makes special attacks and such easier to use

  • Numerous waifus and husbandos - Of course.......
It's an anime fighting game after all.
Like shy blonde moppets? Like evil villains in suits?
Loud scruffy men with abs? Like perky schoolgirls?
Maybe you're just a loli lover? Pick whichever you want, nerd.

I've had a good time with BlazBlue. It's the second fighting
game I've actually tried getting into, Skullgirls being the first.

When I first got these BlazBlue games,
I was reluctant to try them out.
It just wasn't what I was used to. Anime graphics, less buttons, more
movement inputs. It was too unfamiliar for me so I just decided to
abandon it and write it off as not my cup of tea.

Glad I finally tried to get into it though. I still suck, but atleast now
I've finally learned how to enjoy it.

Definitely consider buying this game. If you don't like the current price,
wait for a sale. It cuts the price in half most of the time and I'd say it's
more than a good enough price to pay for a game to enjoy greatly.

On a side note, I had my classmates try this out.
They loved it! The beginner friendly stylish mode got them to enjoy it
without having to worry about learning advanced combos and such.
Man were they loud.
It just goes to show that fighting game enthusiast or not, you can
enjoy this game as long as you don't immediately consider it to be crap.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH IT FEELS SO OFF
I HATE THIS......... well, just a bit
Let me start off by saying that I've played the original Metro 2033
and loved it a bunch. Can't say I do for the Redux of it though.

There are some really good things that the Redux has done
such as:

-Adding the ability to knock out enemies instead of murdering them
-Fixed bugs that led to me teleporting out of the map
-I can no longer climb up walls like spiderman
-Redone maps giving more areas to explore
-Slightly less clunky movement
-Allows you to pick either Spartan mode(shooty shooty bang bang)
or Survival (Less supplies and encourages careful gameplay)

But oh here are some of the things I dislike:
-New voice actor (not big a deal but I miss the old one)
-REALLY bright lights, they're blinding me
-Unreliable stealth (Easier but way more obnoxious)
-Removed the ability to manually equip throwing knives, grenades,
and your stabbing knife
-Hit detection can really suck

Now let me share some of my thoughts

1.Removed the ability to manually equip items

Okay so this to me is only annoying on a personal level.
In the original you had to manually equip them meaning
it was much more reliable and went through a LOT faster.
"Wait but doesn't having it assigned to a single button
make it more convenient?" Well, it should, but the problem here
is that you have to select which one you want to throw from
a wheel, which can lead to you sometimes throwing a grenade
at an enemy when you wanted a knife. But that's just me being
dumb, the real kicker is that they take longer to actually deploy.
I remember facing hordes of nosalises on the original Metro
just by using throwing knives on Ranger Hardcore with no problems.
For here though, the delay on top of the disgusting hit detection
makes it absolute hell for me to do. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT

2.Unreliable Stealth.
Okay so what do I mean by this? For the Redux
it uses the stealth mechanic Last Light has
which essentially turns enemies blind as
long as you're in the dark. You'll have a light on your watch to
indicate whether or not you're visible.
So how is that unreliable then?
Well, the lighting is actually to blame on this one.
It can be really hard to determine sometimes what counts as
the darkness. At times when you are clearly in a lighted area
the light doesn't glow and you remain peachy,
but the exact opposite can also happen
where you're in complete darkness but somehow
the light is on and you are visible. The original Metro's
stealth was way better and you also had the option of
buying a stealth suit or a heavy suit sometime in the game.

3. Added ability to knock out opponents.
THIS IS AMAZING. In the original Metro no matter how hard I tried
to be good I always got the Ranger ending
because of how many people
I killed by punching them.
WELL NO LONGER! In the Redux punching
people will instead cause a proper knockout
leading to no deaths and
a happier tomorrow.

So that's about it for my take on it. Should you buy it?
Well, all of my hatred for this, it was more because I've experienced
the original and have had a much better time playing it.
The Redux is still a solid game though
and if this is your first time playing
Metro games, go for it.

All the things I got bothered with shouldn't be a problem for you
and you might have an easier time getting used to them than me.
Pick it up on a sale or something and I guarantee you'll have an
enjoyable time playing Metro 2033

FINALLY! Been dying to get that voiced storymode.
If you just got Skullgirls then go ahead and buy this pack and ignore
the other character DLCs as there is honestly no point
in you purchasing them if they're already included here.

Edit: THERE IS ALSO NEW ART OMG YES!

I really like running at people with a knife as a medic.
Most of the time it ends well but I do die sometimes.
Buff the knife to 9999999% more damage please as 3
slashes from a weapon you're not supposed to go full on
offensive with in the first place is totally underpowered.
Did I mention I like charging firefights with a knife?
