I thoroughly enjoyed this game, and cannot recommend it enough.

The characters, the clear love put into this game by both the developers and the voice talent... while other reviewers are certainly correct that the game feels somewhat overly ambitious at times and lacks in some places, it more than makes up for that where it does things right, in my opinion.

Having played many Bethesda titles and Xcom Enemy unknown, the bugs are significantly fewer than what I would expect from AAA games in general, as well as paragons of the genre. A must play for turn based strategy fans, especially those with a fondness for the Warhammer universe.

Very fun to play, great story, and an all around good TBS game.

Finally, a warhammer 40k TBS game that gives you a reason to actually WANT to close to melee range!

I highly recommend this game.

I'm honestly not sure how they did it.

The first Subnautica game was easily the best open world crafting game I've ever played, surely there was no way that they could create an experience even remotely as mind blowing a second time once the novelty of the original idea had already been experienced... right?

The environments, the base building, the new items, the music, the sound design of the creatures and what information small sounds in the environment could tell you, land mechanics, THE STORY... they have once again managed to create the perfect free form story-based crafting experience. At the end of the day, I have to call this series an experience, art and design in their purest forms even!

If I had to find one fault in this game and its predecessor, it would be that the game is almost TOO immersive an experience. I've gone from self-assigned task to task between story objectives and found myself lose hours of time in what felt like minutes... and yet every second of it was well worth it, and my lack of time is in no way a fault of the game.

If you like the first game, play this game. If you've yet to experience the first game.... go play it first. There are some small plot points that will hit differently if you played it first.

10/10, a game and series I think everyone needs to experience at least once, especially if they're terrified of the ocean like I am!

Do you like Lovecraft? Do you like Amnesia, the Darkest Descent? If so, then this is absolutely the game for you. It beautifully combines elements of both of the aforementioned things, keeping the beautiful yet grotesquely indescribable horror of Lovecraft's original writing (sans the actually distasteful and non fantastical topics broached therein) with the smooth and fantastic game-play of Amnesia. I'm still playing it, but it's been indescribable thus far. While I am not a horror veteran by any definition, I still seek some quality atmospheric horror from time to time, as I don;t enjoy cheap jump scares. This game is absolutely fantastic, and has scratched my itch for such a game completely. Three hours in, and judging by the trophies I've found, I'm only between a third and half of the way done. An absolute gem among games, and truly a work of love and hatred for all living things, it certainly belongs in your collection.

Challenging and stressful, and yet oddly fun. I highly recommend the DLCs and some of the workshop content. 10/10

I bought this game on a whim during the summer steam sale and didn't really expect much from it as I've been disappointed by puzzle games that have been too bland in the past, but I've never been so happy that I misjudged a game. The puzzle elements were refresing, somewhat challenging, and fun. Every solved component and chapter came with a real feeling of accomplishment. Furthermore, the subtle ambient tones, mysterious plot, animation/graphics, and interesting mechanics all served to breathe vibrant life into a game that would have already been fun to play based on the puzzle elements alone.

I absolutely would reccommend this game if you enjoy puzzles and want a puzzle game that feels like more than just a puzzle game. It took me a couple of hours to complete, but I definitely think that it can be beaten at varying paces, as some puzzle elements were really easy for me and some left me stumped for quite a while. Once again, I'd highly reccommend this game, and I cannot wait to play the sequel, as I cannot wait for more content. 10/10
