EULA is only accessible from inside the game.

Mouse is sluggish.

Tutorial doesn't explain anything. I was sitting there waiting for it to tell me what to do and how to move the robots, nothing. I experimentally used cursor keys and figured out what to do. Next level it said it gives me 45 seconds. No thanks.

I like reviews that say what the game's about, but I can't add anything to what the store page says, the game didn't tell me (see above).

Fun singleplayer card game with a story to follow, small secrets and twists, humorous chat, and graphics that appeal even to me (and I'm not for cartoons). Oh, and of course interesting card mechanics.

You are kind of on a quest to get one of each legendary card, and meet more and more opponents you can choose to battle for their booster packs (or money). You can also buy common and uncommon cards you already have at least one of, recylce cards into new booster packs, and even combine certain cards into other certain cards.

And when you've won, you can still come back for more battles, with the usual opponents, as well as some prior one-time opponents, and 4 new ones!

I like the variety, the card game, the story, the humour, the whole town. I want to spend more time there, doing stuff.

A short point&click non-adventure where some puzzles don't make sense and may leave you no choice but to skip for lack of clarity in the symbols or instructions, and the others are more for kids.

In the last one at least I could just pick random ones and it said it's the wrong one until I could guess what they wanted.

And then it fails to actually register what the player does.

What were they thinking?

Another user made an elaborate review with back story and details:

(That review I do recommend.)

I just learned it'll disappear.

That horrid UI "update" killed it for good for me, already. Too bad they can't just undo that and go back to what it was.

What it was, way back:

Fun free to play game.

Excellent tutorial, easy to get into. After a few hours I was playing on hard against the computer, which is just right for me (I lose, I win, I groan at missing the obvious move after ending my turn, I am happy when I manage to turn the table from a bad start,...).

Gameplay: You play creature or spell cards against an opponent, taking turns. Creatures have attack and health, and some have nifty special abilities. That and the spells is what makes this so fun and always different every game. Do you play a spell that gives one of your own creatures +3 attack, stolen from a creature the opponent has, or do you play a creature that can hit anyone with its attack on the next turn? Playing a card also means it's better next time you are dealt it (each has 3 levels), look to the future! You only get 5 cards to pick from every turn (exceptions may come with new, non-starter deck cards).

The game is also very nice at asking you to confirm stuff that isn't really good for you.

You start with 2 decks of 30 cards each, of which you can use either, or a combination you make yourself from the cards in them. To start with the opponent is the computer on easy, normal, or hard, whose decks you can also decide.

I eventually caved in and signed up on their site for the rewards you can get. (For logging in, winning 1 game, and winning 3 games, once every 24h.) And I already got some nifty new cards to use and in-game currency to buy moar cards, all for free!

This also enables me to make my own decks, with said nifty new cards! Only restriction is that you can combine only 2 of the 4 different groups of cards (kinda robots, elements, undead, and nature) per deck. But you can make more than the obvious 6 different combos, with all the cards you soon pile up!

There is the option to use real money, but from what I can see and read in discussions, everything can be had without that.

And I'd like to play with friends (you need to sign up too, for that). I'm too much of a coward to play with random strangers yet (also an option when you're logged in).

Plus there's tournaments for folks who are into that!

Here's some screenshots.

By the description, this would have been the next to last game that'd interest me (last would be anything hinting at ego shooter and/or vehicle simulations).

When a friend streamed a game for me after I asked why everyone (on my friend list) was playing Terraria, I thought: "Want, please go on sale, want want want."

First day I had it (gift from a friend, 1 week before the kinda Halloween sale), 18 hours playtime. It's a great time sink. (Don't know whether that's a good thing, but I just don't notice the hours going by when having fun.)

I'm not much for action, but I like building, at my own pace. Here I can build, and when I want to do something else, go whack a zombie over the head. Or throw foul eggs at the Idiot (aka Guide) when he opens the door and lets the zombies in at night. Or go on a (non-capital q) quest to find stuff to make better equipment.

Even progression is at my pace. I can go beat up the next tougher boss, or not. Or ask a friend to host a new world where he and other friends help beat up a really tough boss that makes stuff available that I can then drag home to my peaceful world to continue building.

I'm really into doing it my way, doing what I want, when I want, and this game lets me.

Edit: Nominated for the Steam Awards from the Steam Autumn event started on 23.11.2016, for the "Just 5 more minutes" award.

I still play the game now and then, and still forget the time. Oh, and the pot of coffee I made before I started playing, so I end up with that the next morning (after some sleep, finally, when I can't keep my eyes open any longer).

Did I mention they are still doing updates with new content for the game? And all for the same price still! (Never mind the generous discounts you get during sales.)
