The birthplace of my more hardcore gaming habbits. played on consol when it was released, and loved it beyond compare. In my opinion the best atmosphere of any fallout game, truly capturing the post apocolyptic feel, offering very little warmth and welcoming that the newer fallouts have an abundance of.
The gameplay is a little more limited than the newer fallouts, however its story, environment and diversity make it well worth the investment to experience another chapter of the fallout universe.

For anyone into the other fallout games this is a must-have

The DLC is great fun, and the mods that have been created are insane.
Tale Of Two Wastelands (and probably others by now) allow you to play fallout 3 and fallout New Vegas as a single game, teleporting between the two games, taking followers and items with you. Get this mod and you have the best RPG ever made (IMO)
