Bethesda give us a remaster you Skyrim-milking criminal scum!

In all seriousness, I've much enjoyed the side quests on Oblivion (Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Arena) compared to Skyrim. The game mechanics in comparison are quite clunky and awkward but that's passable given the age of the game. The graphics haven't held up quite as well as Crysis, Portal or Half-Life 2 but let's be honest the faces on some of the characters are funny!

Plenty of meme sources.

All I'll say is buy the GOTY Deluxe edition because you can't buy the DLC separately. Look for Steam sale discounts and listings on K1NGU1N etc..

I love this game. I've been playing it since 2015 and it keeps gettting better and better. Some of my best video game memories are associated with this game. Only downside is that it's a little hard to run if your PC isn't all that good. I run on all Ultra settings, VSync enabled on a GTX 1050TI, i5-2400 @ 3.10GHz and 8GB RAM and I barely reach 60FPS and it'll dip to 35-40 in a vehicle in first person view.

I'd have to say that the best part of this game is that it's 100% free. Sure, you can pay for the gold upgrade but that doesn't add anything that would give you a benefit over other players (just some skins and stuff) so it's more of a donation really. That being said, I do own the gold upgrade and I do recommend buying it so you can help the developer with the game and any personal expenses he may have.

Also writing this review for the badge thingy.

Please ignore my current game time (3.5 hrs), I have played Rocksmith 2014 for well over 100 hours on PS3.

Rocksmith 2014 is truely a great way to learn how to play the guitar or bass and it's very ideal as you're not paying for lessons (which could cost more than the game and cable and maybe even some DLC) and you can practice in your own time. If you have an electric or electro acoustic guitar/bass that you haven't learned how to play, money for the cable (I believe it's around €30) and time to dedicate I would strongly recommend you to buy this game. Guitar/bass is a great skill to have in life. I've been playing Rocksmith 2014 for over a year now (26 December 2015 is current date, game bought for PS3 on 19th June 2014)

Pros
- Easy way to learn guitar/bass
- Really fun to play
- You can practice in your own time
- If you buy Cherub Rock you can also get loads of Custom Downloadable Content (CDLC) from http://customsforge.com
- Guitar/bass is fun
- The game features an automatic level up/down system called the Riff Repeater. It will judge your skill based on how well you've been playing at the current difficulty and make the riff easier/harder to play.
- Loads of DLC and CDLC is available
- Includes minigames to practice scales, techniques and chords
- Rocksmith can tell you what you need to improve on, for example, if your bending was a little poor Rocksmith will say "Check out this Bending 101 lesson"

Cons
- Riff Repeater can sometimes be annoying
- The Real Tone cable is pricey and a bit fragile
- You don't get a Real Tone cable with the Steam purchase. I would advise you to buy the disc edition starter bundle (two exist, one with game and cable and one with an Epiphone Les Paul, game and cable). The disc edition is installed through Steam.
- The game sometimes has trouble picking up signals from your guitar
- Audio latency can become an issue. It's advised to have your video and audio running through 2 different cables. I have my video going from my laptop to my TV via HDMI and sound going from my laptop to my headphones via 3.5mm.
- lag between video and audio can throw off your sense of rhythm

I've taken lots of care to cover as many pros or cons in my review, if I've missed any, please tell me.

If you enjoy Rocksmith I strongly recommend you to buy an amp for your instrument so you can practice outside of Rocksmith.

Final conclusion
Rocksmith 2014 is a great learning tool/game and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to play guitar/bass. If you have enough time and dedication I guarantee you many hours of fun.

I played all six chapters in about 50 minutes. It's a nice, relaxing game where all your decisions matter for the rest of the game.

What is even the point of this game? All you do is click on a button and watch numbers go up, I see very little entertainment value in this game.
