Dont' cry/stop crying about:
Duos? No problem - there is a mod for that, and Fromsoft will add it in some time...
Crossplay? Just buy a PC and stop using (shi**y) consoles lol
Voice chat? Yea, can be nice but the game is playable with the map ping system.

It's their first multiplayer project, so stop acting like you expected a fully polished multiplayer features and stuff...give Fromsoft some time.

I mean, gameplay itself is actually fun as hell, fast but challenging, and addictive. I really like it, and my only issue is the revive system, I would like it to need less hits to revive someone, but hey, just git gut and don't die.

Game looks good, runs good, feels good, brother, it's Elden Ring with Dark Souls bosses, and I am more than satisfied :3

Why I fu**** hate this game?
It hurts my heart to give a game from FromSoftware a bad review, BUT...

As a FromSoftware fan who has played every souls game (except for Demon Souls), I went into Sekiro expecting another masterpiece. Instead, I got a rigid, repetitive parry simulator that punishes creativity and drags out every fight with artificial difficulty. I’ve beaten most of the game in about 20 hours, and I can confidently say, this isn’t fun. It’s just exhausting and frustrating.

The biggest problem is that Sekiro forces you into one playstyle: deflect or die. There’s no real build variety, no meaningful upgrades, and no way to make fights easier if you struggle. Even with multiple health upgrades, bosses can still one-shot you, making progression feel pointless. The posture system is a nightmare, enemies recover way too fast, turning fights into endless slogs where a single mistake resets minutes of progress.

Bosses and mini-bosses are the worst offenders. Many rely on cheap tricks like hyper-armor attacks, delayed swings, and absurdly long combos that demand frame-perfect parries. Mini-bosses are even worse, just recycled enemies with bloated health bars, often surrounded by mobs to make them "harder" in the laziest way possible. The game doesn’t reward skill; it rewards memorization and patience, which isn’t the same thing.

What’s worse is that Sekiro has no replay value. Other Souls games let you experiment with builds, weapons, and strategies. Here, you do the same thing every playthrough, parry, attack, repeat. There’s no depth, just repetition.

What I actually like about Sekiro

I didn’t hate every moment of Sekiro, but the frustration far outweighs the satisfaction. While Sekiro’s bosses and combat mechanics often feel punishing and restrictive, the game does have one redeeming quality—its world. I like one boss fight tho, the Mist Noble is a peak! Anyways, exploration is actually enjoyable, with lush environments, intricate level design, and a sense of verticality that makes traversal engaging. The art direction is stunning, blending feudal Japan with dark fantasy in a way that feels fresh yet authentic.

Fighting normal enemies is where Sekiro shines in small doses. Stealth is viable, letting you thin out groups before engaging, and the movement system makes encounters fluid. The prosthetic tools add some variety when used against regular foes, allowing for a small glimpse of creative approaches.

Last words

At the moment (about 23 hours), I'm only finishing Sekiro out of sheer stubbornness, not because I enjoy it, but because I refuse to be beaten. I want to be able to say that I beat it, that it wasn't a "skill issue", but it's a nerve-wracking, teeth-gritting torture that feels more like an endurance test than a rewarding challenge. The game doesn’t make me feel accomplished,it just makes me feel tired. And when I finally beat it, I doubt I’ll remember it favourably. I’ll just be relieved it’s finally over.

If you love parrying nonstop, maybe you’ll enjoy it. But if you prefer fair challenge, build freedom and variety or just some sense of progress, go play something else, and thank me later. Sekiro isn’t fun. It’s work. And no amount of victory screens will change that.

First impressions from the first 4 hours of gameplay:
+ Absolutely gorgeous visuals and scenery
+ Perfect voice acting and cutscenes
+ Fun and action-packed combat that requires skill, and attention
+ No lags, image tearing or shaking, or any crashes, runs always very smoothly
+ Mysterious and engaging world, and story
+ Wonderful soundtrack

- Since it's the first game of this type I've ever played (for more than 20 min.), I find it a bit complicated at first, and the character builds are quite complex - but that's just my personal issue (me dumb)

The first game of this type (Persona, Metaphor - yes, I tried them and I dont like them) that actually looks good, doesn't have a cluttered and unreadable UI or font selection, and is extremely fun to play. Me likey~

I have a couple of questions:

1. WHAT D*CKHEAD WHO'S NEVER SEEN A VIDEO GAME DID THE BINDINGS?
2. WHY ISN'T DODGE ON B BUT IT'S ON A? HAVE YOU EVER PLAYED A SOULS GAME?!
3. WHY WHEN I CHANGE THE BINDINGS THE GAME STILL SHOWS ME THE WRONG ONES?
4. WHY IS THERE NO OPTION TO RESET THE DEFAULT BINDING OF THE CONTROLLER?
5. WHAT IS BUTTON 11?!

Last but not least...WHY IS THE TUTORIAL FOR THE GAME BASICS AFTER THE FIRST BOSS?!
AND WHY DO THE SETTINGS, EQUIPMENT MENU AND STUFF LOOK WORSE THAN IN DS1?!

Also, WHY EVERY HIT FROM EVERYTHING DOES LIKE 4/5 OF YOUR HP BAR?! And you HAVE TO FARM HEAL ITEMS?!
Not fun. Nah-uh.

I love soulslike games, and this game was recommended as a similar game to Khazan, but HELL NO....
Refund. I bought it at 90% off and I'm returning it anyway. Unplayable.

✅ LIKES:
Combat is insanely satisfying – Fast, weighty, and packed with meaningful combos. Perfect parries (Sekiro-style) and dodges deliver that sweet, sweet freeze-frame satisfaction. The melee combat here is some of the best in the genre.

Boss fights are brutal (in a good way) – These battles are the highlight. Multi-phase encounters, punishing but fair movesets, and that oh-♥♥♥♥ moment when you realize the boss was holding back. No cheap one-shots—just hard, satisfying fights.

Stunning Visuals,Atmosphere & Soundtrack - Every boss fight, some locations and music, all feels like a spectacle. The game’s dark fantasy aesthetic is cohesive and immersive, with ruined castles and war-torn battlefields. Very good overall.

Respects your time – Auto-soul pickup, great and smart checkpoint placement, and interconnected levels that loop back naturally. Oh and Boss runbacks are almost nonexistent. Big yes!

Soulslike love at first sight – I’ve bounced off a few soulslikes before (even Elden Ring didn't amuse me that much at first), but this one, instant addiction. The pacing, the challenge, the sheer style—it just works for me.

Performance is very solid – Well-optimized even at launch. No major stutters or crashes, and it looks great without needing a supercomputer.

Exploration that doesn’t overstay its welcome – It’s not open-world overload, just the right amount of secrets and alternate paths to keep me poking around without feeling lost. Pretty much linear, but in a good way.

❌ DISLIKES:
Exhaustion system – Okay, stamina management is one thing, but the exhaustion system feels like it’s actively trying to kill my fun. Nothing like getting wrecked because my character suddenly forgot how to breathe mid-combo. Maybe just my skill issue, but its annoying to get used to it.

"Mission Completed" after an epic boss fight – After an intense, heart-pounding battle, that "Mission Completed" text on screen is like getting a participation trophy for surviving a warzone. A little more hype, please! At least something like DS1: "Victory Achieved" would be nice. But that's just a minor detail that detracts from the feeling after finishing a bossfight, nothing that spoils the game as a whole.

TLDR:
Despite some quirks, The First Berserker: Khazan has me hooked. It’s fast, fluid, and ridiculously fun. The combat alone is worth the price, and I’m itching to see what’s next. If a patch or some perks tweaks the stamina and summons, it’ll be near-perfect. 9/10 – a bloody good time. I highly recommend it.

I was actually looking forward to this, but the game is a technical nightmare. The biggest issue? Trying to turn off DLSS, that just instantly crashes the game. Every. Single. Time. It’s not a rare bug, it’s just broken...

Even when it runs on 60+ FPS, it barely looks decent. High/medium settings somehow look like the lowest possible, with blurry textures and poor detail, yet performance is still a struggle. My PC is more than capable, everything’s updated, game files alright, no background junk, so yea there’s zero reason for this mess.

Right now, the game is fighting me harder than any monster. Capcom, fix your game please, I want to actually play it.

Go play Rivals. This game is a ♥♥♥♥. Also, nerf Mauga.
The new perks are interesting, kinda fun, but the game is more unbalanced than ever (and still ♥♥♥♥).
GG for lootboxes tho~

I wasn't expecting how good a game it would be to be honest.

⚔️ Combat is snappy and fun, with nice animations and interesting weapon options. The bossfights were freaking cool, intense but with readable and fair attacks, love it. Great combos and mechanics, including working with your stamina, which took me a while to get used to tho.

🙈 My only complaint with the game so far is the environments - the demo is set entirely in the snowy mountains, and the locations weren't anything interesting or original, kinda blend and boring.

🙌 But the overall experience of this 2-3 hour playthrough was awesome , I'm really looking forward to the full release and I already pre-ordered the game after finishing the demo. Will this be one of the better soulslike games of 2025?

I recommend trying it out while you can.

90% of players are just instalock DPS and then they have like 0/8, crying about heals and then disconnect. GGWP! Love playing with like 3-4 players who act like this in ranked. But still, the game is fun, better than Overwatch 2 rn.
