I picked up this game after watching the game play online, but it was more to scratch the XCOM itch than any real desire to finish it, fast forward to the release date and by god i was hooked within the first hour. I now have more hours in this game than in XCOM.

It's a beautifully designed game with amazing visuals, not historically accurate but you can see a few famous events being recreated. The combat and decision making aspects of the game are flawless, i have not encountered a single bug or glitch so far either. The whole loot system and equipment management is engaging and has a very significant affect on combat.

The story is affected by choices you make and makes for engaging game play with multiple attempts to find out the different ways to resolve a situation. The whole legion customisation also adds a lovely touch to an already polished game.
The plot itself is engaging and makes you want to play the game more, the siege battles with their various stages and components add the cherry on top.

The only downside to the game is the legion combat and the base management, these feel like a waste of time more than anything though that is partly due to how engaging the rest of the game is.

In all honesty I can only highly recommend this game, its is a definite 9.5/10 in my book with barely any flaws. It provides a good challenge and a highly enjoyable and replayable experience at the same time. THQ Nordic has outdone itself and i cannot wait for additional content for the game. Well worth the money spent and a game i would consider gifting to fellow close friends who enjoy the genre due to how great a product it is overall.
