So far this game has been an excellent experience with a great community, and Sony recently stated that they're backing down and won't require PSN. Huzzah!

Actual review stuff: This game kind of is like the promise of OW fulfilled: a live service shooter where you don't have to be the best at FPS games to contribute. Yes, you have to have the basic mechanics down to contribute, but as you progress in the game, once you're doing anything higher than a 5, and especially 8 and 9s, being good at shooting won't help much and instead you need to be excellent at teamwork and strategy.

Pretty good game, ngl, After 600 hours you start to figure it out.

Early Access Review
I'm a third generation four wheeler but I haven't been in a jeep for a while since I moved to a large city. This game is the best I've ever played at giving me the sensation of putting it in low and going slow over the rocks in Panamint or Johnson Valley or especially The Rubicon. I do think vehicles roll a bit too easy but it's hard to get a sense of that when you're not really in the vehicle. It's very very simple and doesn't have the bells and whistles of a AAA game but every vehicle I've ever taken out on the trail didn't have a working AC or radio so if anything that's just more authentic.

TL/DR: Pure Rock Crawling is pure rock crawling.

I recently played Mech Commander 2 and found out it wasn't as good as I remember it being. This is the tactical battletech game we've been waiting for. It's turn based which makes things feel a little slow, and the salvage system is a bit opaque for my tastes but it's very satisfying to blow up enemy mechs, step on annoying tanks and so forth. The story is also pretty great, way better than "aliens are not very nice" x-com storylines which just serve to give you more challenging opponents.

Some people have a problem with the fact you can be non-binary in it. This barely affects the game in any appreciable way and is like complaining about controller support in a game. I want to play mouse & keyboard so that's what I'm doing, why should I care about people using an x-box one controller?

Cute and pleasant and just a little horny if you apply the patch, totally worth it if you have about 2 hours and 4 bucks to spend. Getting the good ending requires a lot of playthroughs but that's part of the VN experience, there's no auto-scroll option but it's such a short game I didn't mind that much. Felt like there was just the right amount of decisions to be made consdiering the game's length.

Don't let some of the curators fool you: this is actually a good game which can be enjoyed by many. It's LFD in a gothic fantasy setting with a much better mix of missions although at the end of the day you'll still be finding all the buffs you can for a final rush that almost always includes a special enemy or two or 4. The difficulty is a bit higher than many other 4 player co-op games I've had experience with, it isn't just the specials that can screw you over when you're alone, it's rather easy to be overwhelmed by a flood of ratties biting and clawing into you. It's a fun game with an awesome loot and crafting system to give it legs, just hope your teammates are up for teamwork or you'll have a bad time.

10/10 dead rats.
