Note: Update video drivers if you are experiencing issues, doing this fixes 99% of issues for most games and I've seen reports that the 3/18 update for NVIDIA is what fixed it for some people.

This game isn't perfect, but it has a roster of characters that I've been waiting to see in the spotlight forever. I have some hope that once perception of the game turns around that the future of this title could expand into the full series, but second chances are rarely offered. I haven't had any issues that have been reported, and I've been having a blast (even restarted the game a few times to make sure I didn't just get lucky at launch).

I was hoping for a perfect game like how I experienced the storm titles, but I'm still really happy with how this game is and hope to see it improve over time.

To start, does this game have some optimization issues? Yes. Can the settings be tweaked to still make it look good and run well? Yes. This will hopefully get fixed to improve the high end performance.

Everything else about this game? Phenomenal.

Monsters, weapon moves, environments, soundtrack, the vibe. I wasn't sure how I felt about the hunter interacting vocally, but the more I heard "the guild authorizes the hunt" makes me feel like I'm about to bring the impact of a meteor onto the monster. Proof of a hero is amazing once again.

I know the game isn't perfect on day one, but it feels like a perfect Monster Hunter game. Hopefully some improvements come through for people having major issues or drivers fix their issues so they can enjoy what I think is the mark to beat for GOTY.

Wow people are really upset about... Poor optimization, compiling shaders, and lack of content? The first one I can agree with. The game hiccups in odd spots that don't really make sense, I seem to have a permanent issue with the fire particles in the oilwell for no reason...

The other two make zero sense at all... World also launched with a similar number of monsters and... compiling shaders is just what happens guys... its not a huge deal. If anything, shader compilation was broken for the longest time, so most people never got the recompile when it was needed.

Lagi is back, so this game is the best ever.

Servers are a mess from popularity and people sitting afk to save their spot, but once you've made it in, you have some of the best squad gameplay out there. Hopefully this isn't the case for long, but the devs have been very transparent with progress and setbacks on getting login server issues fixed.

The first murder case I got the cops burst into the apartment, shot the partner dead, started shooting each other until one of the cops died, and left the scene. Both a perfect noir game and perfect dystopia game.

The game itself is really fun to play and they nailed feeling the scale of being inside a Gundam.

Everything else... is rough. Can't complete the season pass without MTX purchases, said MTX purchases are WAY too expensive, and the currency expires after 4 months.

This is a game that had a lot of hype around it, since OW has been pretty bad forever. They succeed in the gameplay, but the negatives and anti-player greed turns this into Gundumb Devolution.

Before I go into more detail; no, this game isn't dead and no ChilloutVR is not where 'everyone has already left to'. Chillout saw a peak of 1k people the day of the patch and hasn't been back to that number since and is currently sitting around 100-200 at peak hours... meanwhile VRChat is still peaking around 30k daily.

This game is great as a newcomer to VR. You can take it as slow or extreme as you want to and push how comfortable you are within VR without buying a larger scale game and learning you can't enjoy it. VRChat does have A LOT of kids on most of the game servers, but that is just where online multiplayer kinda has come since people have access to technology at much earlier ages and the Oculus (was) extremely affordable. I easily played this game for hours at a time meeting people I never would have imagined meeting and creating memories and stories that are completely nonsensical.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game, even to people who don't have a VR headset, since the desktop version still lets you play most of the games with minimal issues and you can do so many social events with IRL friends that you might not be able to coordinate in person.

This game is an entire sandbox of possibility, and the community has done most of the hard part to give the tools and avatars for you to enjoy it to its full potential. There are fair criticisms of the latest update and the implementation of EAC, but its not something that will kill the game. I haven't seen any issues on my side of things, but I'm not everyone. I don't agree that it would be such a huge disaster as some have said, since I also play a lot of Pavlov and that has EAC built-in as well... and that's a lot more graphically intensive than this is.
