The only thing saving the pistol in HL2 from turning it into unplayable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is that literally every enemy in the first two hours of the game is standing next to an explosive barrel anyway. I'd forgotten how bad it was. They're everywhere. It's like the entire city is an explosive barrel factory and they just leave them lying around everywhere. On catwalks, next to roads, lying in dumpsters, shipping containers, on rickety bridges over water, and in their own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bases of operations. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ donkey kong section where infinite respawning barrels roll down at you. The combines secret plan is clearly to blow up the entire planet, and no one will ever notice because they're just putting the explosives all about the place.

You then get to the wacky funhouse adventure that is ravenholme and get a shotgun, so it never matters again.

I don’t know about you, but my mentality with a game like overwatch or any game that only has cosmetic changes and nothing that affects game play is, So what?.

I get people want to customise the champion they play and make them look cool but why is it so much of a big deal? You think about it, it’s took those designers weeks on end and probably multiple people to animate and make sure that skin got to a functioning state, probably cost them $10,000 to create the skin in the first place, if you want it you will have to pay what it’s worth.

Times change skins become more expensive, just as milk and bread does at the shop, think about the process behind it and how much it would actually take to make the skin.

GamesBeat lead writer and reporter Dean Takahashi doesn't really play platformers or sidescrolling action games. He's bad at them. But since he was the only member of our staff in Germany during the time of Gamescom, he agreed to try it out for us. What would happen next would change all of our lives forever because no one knew Dean could be *this* bad. When Dean came back from Germany and explained that his Cuphead gameplay was terrible, we weren't going to be the only ones to suffer through seeing it. So we decided to put it online so everyone else could pull their hair out and scream "DAMMIT DEAN!" along with the GamesBeat staff. We posted this video as an embed in a story titled "Cuphead Gamescom hands-on: My 26 minutes of shame with an old-time cartoon game." At that time, the video was just titled "Cuphead gameplay: It's not easy." Unfortunately, the video in isolation on YouTube lacked the full context. It didn't explain that we were posting this as a joke.
