The game on its own is amazing and genuinely fun to play. so much more with friends
For an engine as old as source, VALVE have done a great job with CS:GO, most of the times the game runs well even on low spec devices while still being visually pleasing.
Gameplay wise its basically "easy to learn, hard to master", thus the game has a really high skill ceiling while maintaining a simple concept "shoot head".
weapons are also pretty well done balance wise and being fun to shoot, and trust me, its really hard to make shooting a fully auto weapon fun so props on that
most maps are pretty fun but lets be honest you will only play Dust II, mirage and cache.
