This game has a nice concept, the maps are great and the destruction too. However, the classes are heavily unbalanced, the weapons are weird, the sounds of the weapons are weird too.

Never seen an M60 with 70 rounds in a mag. It even has a bi-pod that you won't be able to deploy anywhere.
AK47 mag has 36 rounds - it's just a regular mag which should hold only 30 rounds.

I feel like the cosmetics are why this game even exist, it just launched and there's tons of pay-to-have cosmetics that look weird. The skins included in the battlepass don't even look nice. Having a pet cat sitting on your shoulder while you grapple through the map is just kek.

Oh and I shouldn't forget about the RIDICULOUS TTK. What the hell? This is even worse than vanilla battlefield games and that says something.

Overally this game just felt like a cash grab even though it's free lol. Can't really recommend.

If You're looking for a realistic FPS shooter gameplay, this game will deliver all Your needs.

With classess that need to work together, armored tanks and commander abilities, realistic battle locations because the maps were created accordingly to how the battlefields looked like at the time in 1940's (maps like Carentan, Remagen, Hurtgen Forrest, Sainte-Marie-Du-Mont, Foy, Stalingrad) You can find all the landmarks and streets in these maps to run through just like WW2 veterans did. You can even fight over the Red Roof House at the Omaha Beach!
There's plenty of YT videos showing all the authentic locations that were re-created in HLL maps.

Once You learn the basics and work with Your squad towards a goal, You won't get any more combat immersion in any other game.
I like to call this game a PTSD simulator, it's a real meat-grinder that get's really rewarding when you accomplish something critical like pushing with Your squad towards an enemy garrison that You get to destroy, blowing up a tank feels very rewarding as well.

This game get's very cinematic all the time - there ain't any other game where I would be smashing the F12 button for a screenshot like when I'm playing HLL.

If You have a taste for hardcore team-based fps shooters, this is the game for You.
And if You don't have a mic, don't be worried - all you need to do is to listen to Your squad and do what's demanded in a situation from You. You can communicate in squad chat too.

The developers are active on the official discord server and they do briefings often about what's their plans with the game and how are they going on with the roadmap that was set up.

GRIS, with it's beautiful art and soundtrack, smooth gameplay and literally breath-taking story is simply UNIQUE.

I knocked out a zombie with my fists, found a hoodie then a backpack, met a survivor - he raised me his middle finger, sneaked to airfield - found a gas mask and m4, died of dehydratation

edit: after 10 years of development, the game is truly a great experience. If you haven't played in a while, I totally recommend you to try the game again.
Countless updates have brought plenty of content like hunting, crafting and building. The zeds can get dangerous as in the DayZ Arma 2 mod which is great, since at launch the zeds were just a bunch of dumb walkers and there wasn't much to do.

I'm really glad that after Rocket's leave, Bohemia Interactive pulled up their sleeves and got the game to a state as it is today.

DayZ definitely deserves to win the "Labor of Love" award!
Even in 2024! Devs are still working on this game throughout all the years
