Long are gone the days where you could jump into a server and wage 16 vs 16 battles on de_dust on cs 1.5, this game has been shrunk into a tournament-esque 5v5 framework, feels very empty, the combat much more personal and has an unwarranted micro transactional annoyance attached to it. They really listened to the feedback of the people the least had to be listened to.
-The fun and enjoyable "VIP" mode is no longer available.
-A lot of the classic maps haven't made a comeback.
-Obtaining ranks isn't appealing and serves as a tool and means for players to harass each other.
-The voice acting is too simple and flavorless.

Fancy aesthetic, well presented, but very bland trial and error gameplay and poor music score. No skirmish mode for practicing, a campaign mode that pushes you to be hasty with limited turns. Use the debug cheats if you're more interested in the story.

Fun for 10-20 minutes then it gets repetitive, game is microtransaction central, wouldn't recommend.

The combats okay, the flow of the game though, I personally don't like it. Gives me a strong vibe that these game2gether folk don't care much for their games. Most factions have 4 units and are pretty much similar in role, your gear up both your units and heroes with equipment you find in quests or through tech. Didn't like the music very much but that's just personal taste, hit and miss. The games graphics are simple in design, having a decent machine, the game started lagging from playing a small map once I uncovered most of the fog, there was so much optimizing this could have been given, the AI was reasonably challenging on normal BUT not smart, makes a lot of mistakes, perhaps intentional. You're looking for a quick time waster, not having anything better to play, give this a try, but don't place it at the top of your priority.

Not the best Stardock game, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Cheaters are a normalized occurrence in the game, don't bother.

Pretty addictive.
