To the guy in the comments, "gleeper", who says it's fully within your control whether you roll or space the weapon... have you ever bothered to look at the frame data? Most weapons can't outspace it, and trying to roll the R1 chain can net you a guaranteed backswing depending on the lat, because repeated R1 swings actually get faster for most of the chain.
