Jesus Christ, I've really been playing DJ Max since 2004 huh?

DJ Max Respect V is nothing short of a celebration for rhythm game enthusiasts! As a long-time fan of the series, I was beyond excited to see the return of classic tracks from 2004, which have been beautifully remastered. These nostalgic bangers hit all the right notes, bringing back memories of countless hours spent perfecting my skills.

The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is smooth, and the community is vibrant. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the series, there’s something here for everyone. If you love rhythm games, DJ Max Respect V is an absolute must-have. Dive in and let the music take you away! 🎶✨

Early Access Review
Stoneshard has some intriguing ideas and a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it feels like a rough draft compared to a polished gem like Elona. While both games share the core elements of roguelike RPGs, Stoneshard lacks the fun and refinement that make Elona so engaging.

In Elona, the quirky charm and depth keep you hooked, offering a vibrant world full of unique experiences. Stoneshard, on the other hand, often feels clunky and unrefined. The combat can be frustratingly unforgiving, and the mechanics don’t always gel together smoothly. It’s like the developers had a great concept but forgot to add the finishing touches that would elevate it into something truly enjoyable.

I really wish I could give a neutral review instead of negative because you can see the passion behind Stoneshard. There are moments of brilliance and creativity, but they get overshadowed by the lack of polish and the sometimes tedious gameplay. If you’re a die-hard fan of the genre, it might be worth checking out, but I can’t help but feel it falls short of what it could have been. Here’s hoping for some updates that might bring it closer to the level of fun that Elona delivers.

Magic The Gathering: The Video Game

Magic: The Gathering Arena could have been a fantastic way to experience the beloved card game, but the awful monetization really ruins the experience. Compared to Magic: The Gathering Online, where players have more fair access to cards and can actually feel like their investment matters, Arena feels like a money pit.

The grind to acquire cards is frustrating, and the constant push for microtransactions makes it feel more like a cash grab than a game. While MTGO has its flaws, at least it allows dedicated players to build decks without feeling like they’re being nickel-and-dimed at every turn. In Arena, unless you’re a casual player who doesn’t mind spending money, you’ll find yourself stuck with a lackluster collection and a feeling of futility.

It’s a shame, because the gameplay can be enjoyable, but the monetization model makes it a waste of time for anyone serious about the game. If you want a rewarding experience with Magic, stick to MTGO or even tabletop—Arena just isn’t worth it.
