Helldivers 2 is a chaotic co-op horde shooter with some of the best game-play among its peers. It also comes with some of the most insane accidental comedy in gaming! I highly recommend this game to anyone who has a group of friends that love playing co-op shooters but would say solo players look elsewhere as the solo experience can be quite a drag. For democracy!

I'm an older player that started playing as early as the beta obviously I have some nostalgia bias to the game returning. The launch has been rough with a lot of connection issues but when you can get in and finally play the game it's a joy. Fast paced action moba with an awesome art style and very fun combat! It just has a feel that no other game has ever recreated for me and I'm sure I'll be playing this game for a long time especially if all the rough launch pains get fixed up.

I have changed my opinion in light of recent events and this review will stay positive so long as they continue in the way they are currently moving. To summarise; They have made the economy far more manageable for all players and you can now play fairly comfortably as a f2p player, They have lessened the frustration of 'stock grinding' which has made unlocking new vehicles far more exciting, and they have added many quality of life features where normally their updates mostly consist of just adding new content.

So long as Gaijin continues down this path of improving the game it will get a glowing review from me as the only things holding this game back was its animosity towards its players.

Arguably one of the best Real-time tactics games on the market right now. There are a few pitfalls to the balance of the game on higher difficulties but is an amazingly well crafted gaming experience.
