It might be my nostalgia goggles, But this game was always better than Skyrim in my eyes. The soundtrack, amazing. The storyline, Epic. The world, Beautiful. The guild quests? Far, Far better than Skyrim's.

Sure the graphics aren't up to today's standards and a few quests can be dull (Yes, You have to "Close shut the jaws of Oblivion" in each city at one point) But the fantastic thing about PC Gaming is the mods. They can make the game look almost better than Skyrim. (And add lotsa extra hours to play)

Vanilla Oblivion is still worth playing, though. With i'd say over 200+ hours of content without mods (100+ With Shivering isles and Knights of the Nine) you won't regret it.


Oh, and Shivering Isles is worth it alone. Wanted more of Sheogorath from that one quest in Skyrim? Shivering Isles gives you his whole realm to explore. Cheese for everyone!
