Great game, specially to play together.

Albion online is a great game.

First things first: it has a lot of haters reviews. People start the game on the release of the free version and rush to post a lot of bad reviews just because of the lag or the login queue, being toxic for it, when it's only logic that a server will have this issues on that circunstances, and it will take some time to adjust.

Second topic: people are lazy. Another reason for the lots of bad reviews is about people that want the game to play for them, without effort or dedication.

Third topic: good sides of the game.
• Nice jogability: reminds a mix of Tree Of Life (old version, when it was good) on the crafting and colect system, Diablo (movement and camera) and Torchlight (graphics).
• Super straight foward skill line system: if you DO something, you'll get better on THAT something. Want to make fishing rods to sell? Make fishing rods and you'll get good at it. That's all.
• Very fun to play together: guild features adds a lot of fun to the game, even if you ignore the pvp side of the game itself.
• Versatility: Albion presents a large list of activities to do, since dungeoning until simple farming, fishing, exploring.

Fourth topic: bad sides of the game.
• Clustering: might be understandable on the free game release, but it could be better to increase game instances to reduce overpopulation on cities, it can become visually poluted (quick fix is to go on options and disable name tags and health bars).
• Pay to win (ish)?: premium features offer a LOT of in game advantage, since faster farming, exclusive rewards and the ability to own an private island to farm and breed animals. For a key feature of the game, it's not very good that they make it exclusive to premium, even if you "can" buy premium status with the ingame currency.

Well, it doesn't have have the coop campaign mode like it was showing in the pre-order, so... It was a bad surprise. Otherwise, it's a very well-made survival horror game, and looks like a great game anyways.

That's a great game, that mixes dificulty, ability and teamwork to reach victory, with endless strategies.
