In my mind this game sets a new baseline for all first person shooters. Outstanding soundtrack that blends with stellar gameplay to create a deadly dance on the set of the world's most violent musical tragedy. Fast, dopamine-rush-inducing mechanics and challenging arena shooter gameplay create a game that's delightful to play and extremely rewarding to master. The delicately tuned weapon sandbox allows for an endless amount of combos and tech, letting the player forge their own path to victory over the hordes of the damned. Beautiful and stylized visuals complement the game wonderfully, and the story, while mostly baked into secrets and brief cutscenes, will make the player feel that much more powerful and maybe even have them second-guessing their role in the world of ULTRAKILL. I'm fairly to easy to impress, but I mean it when I say that ULTRAKILL might be one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Hakita and the entire ULTRAKILL team have done and continue to do amazing work, and I cannot recommend this game enough to anyone reading this.
