Surprisignly this game feels very true to the original trilogy in gameplay, whilst taking a slight dip in storytelling and humour likely caused by modern conventions. Overall it feels like I'm playing a proper game within the franchise, and I'm happy it's finally come to PC.

Update: After playing Battlefield 4 again I can say that these two are very similar in core gameplay. Some of Battlefield 2042's operators have some interesting abilities that change up the gameplay in interesting ways that I ended up missing in battlefield 4, an ALL of the core gameplay is still in this game. I'd probably recommend it even more after going back, but I still stand behind the opinion that the removal of classes is unpleasant. Personally I only enjoy three operators (Pak, Angel, Falck, and Mckay) as they function as variants of classes from previous games. Furthermore the lack of content in this game compared to Battlefield 4 on launch is laughable. DICE and their partner studios 'ought to port weapons from battlefield 3 & 4 into Battlefield 2042, add some of the original maps (maps like Siege of Shangai, dragon valley 2015, Rogue Transmission, Altai range, Damavand peak, etc) into the main gamemode or a new gamnemode where the operators are removed and replaced by classes, and speed up the development of new maps and weapons for this game.

All in all, do I recommend it? Yes, especially if you like Battlefield 4. However, the game is flawed and the management behind the game need to rework a lot of the game from the ground up. HOPEFULLY they will plan a long roadmap and fix this game and give it a longer life span than previous titles, but sadly they're likely to abandon the game at this point.

Original Review:
A positive review, am I crazy? Well, no. I agree with all of the critique about this game and it's obvious that the development was heavily hindered by upper management, but despite all that I still find myself enjoying this as a battlefield game.

There's really not I can personally add here that's already not been said, but if you can get the game for 40 Euros or less and you like Battlefield 4, I'd say you should give it a go. It has the core battlefield experience beneath the poor "hero" system, the content despite being less than you'd expect is still good or decent, and it is in my opinion far better than Battlefield 5 (may be because I personally don't like the ww2 setting though).

If you're still on the fence and don't want to get it for "cheap", wait until the first larger content update, the game *could* be better after that. If it isn't, let's hope that the next instalment is closer to BF3/4 if DICE isn't shut down by then.

I might add other points if I come to think of anything else, but all I can say is that don't jump on the hate wagon. The game isn't as bad as people say it is.

Tabletop simulator is great! Through the workshop you can play almost any board game you can think of, and if you can't find something you can create it yourself as the game is easy to mod due to being made in unity! If you like board games and you want to play it with friends in a more intuitive and true to life way than most video game adaptations, then this is what you're looking for!

It is worth mentioning that the game can be a bit clunky due to its versatile nature, but the issues are usually minimal and few between, and I've never had any issue so severe that I got frustrated with the game beyond a light irritation, let alone being unable to play.

Fighting games good.

No but for real, SFV is great. Better than SFIV for sure, the game is very responsive, it's fairly newcomer friendly but still feels like a classic SF game. Main problem is comp mode and the fact that the vast majority of characters are locked behind paywalls or grinds. Do you like street fighter? Get the game. Do you want all characters? Get the championship edition. Are your favourite characters part of the base game? Get the base game.

If you like having moving wallpapers or would like some built in utility in your desktop this is definitely the app for you. Easy to use, starts on computer start up regardless of steam (hence why I have 8-ish hours at the time of review and not upwards of 300), and finding wallpapers is a breeze, both using steam workshop but also through the program itself. If you can't find something you can also make it yourself using the built in wallpaper editor. It's rather unintuative due to it's simplicity, you literally just select files to use as a wallpaper and call it a day (at least for video and image wallpapers). It also has a tendency to crash if your computer goes into sleep mode, which you fix by starting the program through steam again.

All in all, it's definitely a must have if you like to customise your desktop and it's incredibly easy to use and versitile. It's biggest downside is the wallpaper editor's extreme simplicity, but is by no means an issue for everyday use. If you've contemplating getting it you clearly find a use for it so just get it.

All yakuza games has a certain charm to them that is hard not ot get captivated by, this game is certainly not the exception. Yakuza: like a dragon brings back the story heavy plot with movie like cut scenes we're familiar with, with over the top moments of action and dramatic scenes where the protagonist has to face seemingly unbeatable odds. In this new instalment of the Yakuza franchise we mostly leave Kamurocho and Kiryu behind to follow a new protagonist, Ichiban, which brings with it a new and interesting setting, fresh faces, and a very different take on the core combat mechanics.

When it comes to Yakuza: like a dragon I'd say that it has everything we love about the previous instalments and improves upon them. With the new setting and cast the game builds upon the lore of the Yakuza franchise in a way I personally haven't experienced (Pc player, you know the drill). As a returning fan of the series I have no doubt that the game will be everything you've expected and still manage to impress, with one glaring exception; the rpg like combat system. Yakuza: like a dragon has changed the combat system to be like that of a jrpg, with turns and actions rather than the all out beat-'em-up we're used to. I personally enjoy this system and find that it works really well, and makes the combat instances feel more natural than they did back when you had free control over your character but couldn't just run away. That said, it is a drastic change from the previous titles which I'm sure is something not everyone is gong to enjoy. If you can get past this change I have no doubt that you'll enjoy the game in all of its Yakuza glory, and if not it might be best to skip this title.

For newcomers to the franchise I strongly recommend starting out with Yakuza 0 and playing the games in order as there's a lot of history behind these games that are a vital part of the story in these games. Not only will playing them in order help you understand the small details of the story, but it'll also help you understand the combat and make it easier to return to the now more outdated mechanics in the previous titles. Playing Yakuza 0 and kiwami is a fairly substantial graphical and mechanical change from kiwami 2, which is a substantial change from like a dragon. If you have a hard time going back to previous titles of franchises due to these reasons I heavily implore you to wait with like a dragon until you've played the others.

All in all Yakuza:like a dragon is as much of a yakuza game as any other. The story is great and over the top, the mechanics are tight and the game plays very well. The slightly jarring but oddly charming way the games have three drastically different kinds of dialogue and cut scenes is still present, which is part of what makes yakuza yakuza. I strongly reccomend this game to thsoe of you who love story rich games or just want a great experience, but be aware of the shortcommings of teh franchise as they are present here too. If you can overlook them I don't doubt you'll be begging for more by the end of it.

Yskuza: like a dragon - 9/10

It's pretty fun. Definitelly worth the money. You probably want it and steam installed on an SSD with at least 16gb of ram though.
