Played since the free Demo. Balatro is an awesome idea executed in a phenomenal way. Highly addictive and a good challenge for those that seek it.

Simple to learn, engaging to master it, elegant in its overall design and simplicity.

It's pretty great and it is free, so the only downside is this game potentially taking up all of your day without you noticing.

In other words, don't play this if you are postponing doing your taxes, otherwise let's gooo!

Honestly, it is pretty good already.

It has solid gameplay, intertwining cards and movement in a similar way as in "Into the Breach". This leads to a lot of strategical decisions that reward you for knowing how everything interacts with each other.

The Newest updates added new enemies and new cards with brand new mechanics, alongside a new progression system that unlocks new decks with different synergies. This gives you a longterm objetive that incentives you to keep playing. If you havent checked up on the game in a while, give it a try again, they did some solid work in these last months.

The updates have been pretty consistent for an Early Access game. For me, the greatest strength of this game is it's setting, ambience and theme. Very few games have you play as a special agent and engage in close quarter combat to this extent. Animations are top notch and are just getting better with each new update.

If you haven't check it out yet, and enjoy either card games or to play as a special agent, I highly reccomend this game for you! There are different difficulties to choose and challenge yourself in the way it entertains you best. It is pretty simple to get a hang of the game's systems, but it also has depth for more complicated encounters.

Very unique game and I am looking forward for it's upcoming updates!

Update: November 27. Still playing the game, still pretty good!

For my tastes, i can not recommend
THE LONG DARK.
I was interested at first for the survival aspect in nature, especially in a snow habitat. However, During my 3 hours long playtime i realized smething:
I was not having fun

I think the hunger, thirst, calories and rest ratio of needs is well done, and the maps and visuals very pretty to look at, while also beeing sort of interesting each in their own way. I really makes you feel like spiderman you are fighting to survive in the wilderness, with dynamic wounds and animals.

However, deep inside I felt like batman i was wasting my time. And thats the key of this review:
wasting time.
most of the interactions and time spent in the game is staring at the campire waiting for things to cook. waiting for heals to wound. waiting for water to boil. waiting for weather to clear out.
And the waiting part is not fun. Is not like i was doing things during my time of waiting, it was what i simply had to do.

All in all, this is what my experience was for me. If you think that i am just playing it wrong, or that i don't know how to experience pure joy in your opinion. You are free to say what you think and to enjoy what you enjoy. I bought the game on sale and asked for a refund soon enough to notice i would not be happy with the game.

I am just leaving my opinion, and my experience to make you think: "will I actually enjoy this game?
Check some gameplay in the interwebz to see if it fits into the kind of games that you enjoy. Everyone has different tastes, so what i dislike may be what you really like.

I mean, I still think Minecraft is a good game in the whole aspect of things, despite all the bullcrepe around the fanbase and everything about it, so i guess fyuk my opinion

Take two not supporting modding practices...

so not supporting this game anymore...

would not have done this usually, but it's better to prevent this kind of prick practice

Okay, I have been following this game since before it got into the Steam Platform (I believe it was in a place called Desura, where I got my copy). I may not have many hours in this game, but I've watched several youtubers playing it, seeing what is possible to do in the game. I am also taking the opportunity of the steam nomination's goal of writing a review to write this little recommendation. Besides, I’ve been playing zomboid recently too.

Project Zomboid has come a LOOOONG way, and I think (personally) that the latest IWBUMS build 41 brings out a lot of life (ironically) to the game. TL;DR at the end of the review :)

Before the beautiful animations, different weapon models, and especially CARS, Zomboid felt like you were playing in a kind of bland society. I mean this, because everyone would essentially look the same — including YOU, the player.

Different kinds of clothing that have different stats each seems like a small thing, but for me, it is such a big deal. It makes several aspects of the game come full circle, as each one is influenced by its stats and characteristics. For Example:

The Weather system is influenced by the insulation of your clothing, affecting each part of the body individually. Combat and wounds is influenced by protection provided by your clothes — in each body part as well. Different places have Zombies that look like they worked there, such as in police stations, Firehouses, Construction Sites, Military bases, Markets etc.

The world, in general, feels much more REAL. Alongside the dozens and dozens of things you are able to do in this zombie apocalypse. Build fortifications and bases, Fish, Hunt, Forage, Craft, Cook, Break and Fix cars, tailoring. I can’t remember any other Zombie apocalypse game that has this many gameplay attributes to work with (Except Cataclysm DDA).

Even more incredible is that it has multiplayer! All of this features were accomplished by the hard work of the Indie Stone Team and the lovely modders of Zomboid.

I know that many people got frustrated over the years with the development of the game, but Indie Stone has been working constantly on Zomboid, giving us both game and dev updates for so long, they deserve big credits for the work they did.

If you are interested in realistic and in depth Survival games (both single-player and multiplayer), I can’t recommend this game enough. It is Hard to find a game with so much depth that looks this good — especially during blizzards and rainstorms. It is a tough game to to play, but a very rewarding one once you start to learn how to survive.

If you are a veteran player that hasn’t played in a long time (perhaps years), I urge you to give it another shot. So much was added and the new IWBUMS build changes the feel of the game completely. This was my personal experience, and I highly recommend it!

TL;DR: Project Zomboid has changed Immensely throughout the years, and offers one of the most in depth zombie apocalypse experiences in the market, and it has no business looking this good too. For both New and Veteran players that didn’t play the newest Build, I highly recommend giving it a try.

PS.: Beware funky English in this review, as it is not my first language. Also, subscribe to Ambiguous Amphibian. He does some very interesting Project Zomboid content, as well as others games too. Lots of people are discovering Zomboid through him, so huge props to him.
