Early Access Review
Early access review: I kickstarted this game in 2018!

It's satisfying to see the game at last, even as early access, The charming graphic and design is as great as what made me fund this game in the first place. I'm surprise that we can customised our character, but it's a welcome one. Music is clearly 8-bit influence, which might not up to every one taste even for a pixel art game, but it is catchy nonetheless.

As noob as I am this game is clearly better with controller than struggle with keyboard. Character animation is great, but I feel that he is too slow, at least when compare to enemies. Enemies shorter than you required you to squat down to attack, and you cannot move when you do that. Like, you have to take such cautious-looking stand fighting beginner-level mushroom monster. Taking damage send you flying back, render you uncontrollable for a while. Touching monster damage you, but it's not clear where that "hit box" was especially with large boss. It's kind of funny and annoying at the same time when my character get dramatic hurting mid air, sending him uncontrollable to the boss embrace.

Overall I find the game fun and pretty, I have never been a great player with platformer genre, especially when playing with keyboard, so my problem is probably skill issue. I still hope though, that in final version the character is more fluid to control, and auto-grabbing the edge when jumping is probably good too. It's already this late to the point that taking one or two more years no longer matter, so I'm looking forward to the finished game that improve to everyone's satisfaction.
