It probably helps if you have a Computer Science degree or two or three :P

This game is basically the hardware programming version of this https://store.steampowered.com/app/370360/TIS100/ .

The fact that hardware verification and design languages are specialized and the tools used are extremely expensive, it's kicking the niche factor up considerably. I have the utmost respect for anyone who can figure this game out without a CS background.
