Fuga presents some really cool ideas and some of them feel undercooked or not fully thought out but overall I enjoyed the game a lot. Price is a little steep as a lot of people have pointed out but I feel I got my money's worth. Very excited for the sequel as it seems to be taking a different approach to story paths which I think is a good change, and seems to be much more narrative and character focused than the first game.

An absolute joy from start to finish, possibly the best video game I've ever played. One of the strongest cases for games as art and a must-play for anyone who loves games.

A short sweet game that holds up surprisingly well today. Recommend.

All around very solid game with great characters, a thought-provoking story, and tight gameplay. Highly recommend to any classic Final Fantasy fan.

First proper Final Fantasy game and it was a solid introduction. Feels very much like a baseline entry and this version manages to make the game comfortable and fun still today. I don't think it should have that price jump that the SNES games have but it's still a fun time and I got my money's worth out of it.

So if you're not a fan of the words peak fiction, GOAT, raw, fire, then click off this review. Because those are gonna come up like 50 times in here man. I can't help it, the weights are off. On some Rock Lee stuff the weights are off.

Fantastic game. Somewhat clunky combat but still pretty fun. Good simple story with hilarious dialogue. Top tier atmosphere and world-building. Needed to put my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pants on for a moment.

Highly recommend even if you're not into Batman.

Updating my review of OMORI now that I've 100% completed the game (aside from some very specific hidden content).

OMORI is a game that I hold very close to my heart. I followed the game's development back in the early stages about 6 years ago, while I was still in middle school. Now I'm an adult and have finished it, so my thoughts on the game are pretty biased because of that history with it.

Regardless, OMORI is a very competent game, surprisingly so from a studio of amateur developers and after enduring a pretty brutal development cycle. The gameplay is fun and somewhat unique, and the story is absolutely the carry of the game. The balancing is especially worthy of praise, as it's pretty difficult to become under or over leveled, with basically no grinding being required.

The story hit me pretty personally, and is definitely the shining aspect of the game. It's very evident how much of their own hearts the team poured into the game, and that dedication paid off. OMORI hit me harder than probably almost any game I've played.

With that being said, the game contains a lot of material that some might find distressing. Depictions of depression, anxiety, suicide, mental illness, and mild gore are present, on top of generally disturbing content in many sections of the game. It's all handled very well, and in general the game had me feeling better when coming out than it did going in. However, if that's the kind of thing you can't handle right now, then you should probably wait on playing OMORI.

10/10 from me personally. Check it out as soon as available.
