After creating my character, I was somewhat convinced this game wasn't for me. It really is pretty similar to ACNH in so many ways. However, I ended up playing it for almost 5 hours straight, while my friends watched. Seemed like none of us could really get enough of the game. It's not action packed, but it's quest oriented in just enough of a way that keeps you playing. I'm a fan of the UI, though it does feel a little overwhelming at times.
I'm sitting at my full time job, as a grown woman, writing this review, exciting to play Hello Kitty Island Adventure. ( And maybe even watch some south park :D )

On a real note, I've only dabbled in this game (15 of these hours are from falling asleep with it on lol) and I am really excited to see where it goes. I personally would not have paid $40usd for it in its current state. The game itself lacks content and is very unfinished, as to be expected of an early access game. I am hopeful that the dev will put all of this newly earned money into really expanding the game and its content.

If you are not a fan of playing early access games while content is still being released, this is NOT the game for you.

Otherwise, it's a good game with a lot of potential.

I'm not sure how a game can be so perfectly relaxing and infuriating at the same time.
It took me a little over an hour to beat the game. It's the perfect way to kill time while you're sitting in vc chatting with your friends.
None of the cats are impossible to find, I appreciate a game that doesn't force me to scroll through google & guides.
My only critique is the dialogue. It feels impossibly long and the font isn't pleasing from a graphic design stand point.
I hope this review provides some clarification in the midst of the negative ones! :D

At first I was taken aback by the painfully simple style, and tried to look past the fact that this is 2D Minecraft. All of a sudden it was 7am and we were fighting a big bird. Such a relaxing game. I cant wait to finish it :)
