Very much a 'solved' game. There are only 3 metrics, meaning there is an objectively best build for each level. This takes some of the fun out of it, since it becomes more of a puzzle game than a simulator.

Took everything from dying light 1 and make it worse. Undeveloped, unexplained, and glitchy features galore. Shallow and boring story with dialog that sounds like people monologuing to each other. Cant believe how they massacred this franchise.

ALMOST ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS OVERLOOK THIS

This species pack adds in one of the best civics in the main game. A major mechanic that many players overlook is planetary stability since without the Necroids pack, there aren't many ways to have a significant impact on stability that doesn't sacrifice pop productivity to the point of not being worth it. However, for every point of stability above 50%, you get +0.6% resources from jobs, +0.6% Trade Value and +0.4 immigration pull. This means at just 80% stability, you get 18% more resources per job, 18% more trade value (almost as much as playing fanatic xenophile), and +12 immigration pull.
Bring in Nercoids which introduces the Memorialist civic, which allows you to build the Sanctuary of repose which gives +5 stability without even requiring you to work the jobs. You simply have to set down two of them to get a 6% bonus to resource output and trade value, which on top of having high amenities, will get you into the upper 80s in stability in no time. You can even upgrade them late game so that each give +15 stability, meaning if you kept both, you get an instant bonus of +30 stability, still without even needing to have the pops to work the 12 death chronicler jobs the two fully upgraded buildings give.
Is Paradox going to nerf this in the future? Maybe, but recently they have not been doing full 360s on content they add, so I doubt they'll get rid of the easy buffs to stability as well as society research and unity producing jobs. $8 is a very fair price for how amazing this civic is alone.

Great concepts ruined by poor controller compatibility and a terrible UI. Completely inconsistent difficulty curve as well.

Bad controls are not an effective way to increase difficulty, especially with unforgiving time limits
