Arguably the best Assassins Creed Game. Though Origins is better as a game in general, it does so while moving away a lot from what Assassins Creed is, and therefore i would argue it is a worse AC game.

The combat, controls, stealth, etc are much improved over older titles, and feel pretty intuitive.
The story is great, Evie and Jacob feel good, though jacob is pretty naive, and they make the story engaging.
The main bad guy is great, the cutscenes showing him are some of the best cutscenes ive seen in a ubisoft game,
The game strikes a good balance between a linear story and the newer underbosses then main boss makeup seen in games like wildlands, shadow of mordor or even origins.
Leveling works, but arbitrarily limiting already unlocked gear to a level feels limiting, Origins does this too, but the chance of you getting higher levelled gear is a lot less likely there.

There are a few annoyances, the kidnap missions or really any mission with carriages feel clunky, the controls are not very precise, and animations for getting on the roof to hijack take a little long, causing you to not be able to do what you wanted to.
Theres also the common AC issue of takedown animations taking too long, causing you to get detected, or hindering your gettaway. This is something previous games and Origins suffer from too, but it isnt a major issue.
Freerunning is great, one of the best, and in urban areas like London it feels better than Origins in my opinion, but getting down is still sometimes an issue, though this is much rarer due to the dedicated 'free run down' button
Finally the combat sometimes fails your block regardless, even though you are pressing the right buttons, this seems to only happen with higher levelled enemies or when being swarmed, but it is still frustrating.

Performance was great, graphics look about as good as can be expected, the game is 2.5 years old, though there arent as many graphics settings as i would've liked.
I ran the game at 2560x1080 on max settings with 60fps+ on a GTX 1070+7700K
In over 30hrs of playing i have had 1 single issue with a mission critical AI carriage getting stuck and needing to reload from checkpoint. no other issues or glitches at all.

If you are looking for a true Assassins Creed game i would recommend this over Origins, if you are looking for the best game in general, Origins is better.
