Game is Unplayable

As to the time of my review, I have four hours into the game, and in that time, its only been changing graphic settings and benchmarks, because the game refuses to stop freezing for 5 seconds for ever 10 to 15 seconds. Its drawing more power from my CPU than it really should which seems to be the source of my stutters. I have scoured the internet for a solution and it would seem I am not the only customer with a decent desktop build who can't play the game. I am very disappointed with this. Most of the discussions draw their conclusions to Ubisoft's new DRM system as the problem.

I'm running:
i7-3770 CPU
FTW GTX 1080
16GB RAM
Windows 10

I wish I knew why I can't run this game other than buying a beefier machine. (cuz thats not possible for a while) But, as long as I am unable to play it, the longer my review is negative.
