Update- So far Gajin has done what they have said they are going to do. I've enjoyed Warthunder more since their changes then I have in a long time. The pressure and stress of losing silver lions even if you enjoyed a match is gone for me. Naval is actually a good option to earn Silver lions and I am really enjoying it. As long as they keep this going this is a game I can recommend, nigh encourage others to play. PLAY THIS GAME!

Original Review-
I really like this game though the need for premium if you want to advance at the higher levels does bother me.

Edit: As time as gone on the pay wall has gotten mostly worse. I have tried to get friends to play this with me and they have all fallen away. The only ones who have felt like they could get any type of long term enjoyment have to get premium. This is game does a lot of things right but unfortunately has been doing more things wrong in recent years. Silver lions shouldn't be so elusive. I always have more vehicles unlocked that I cant buy. I am not amazing at the game but I grind and have spent money on premium more times then I can remember and have bought premium vehicles yet I still fall so short of having enough. I want to be able to continue recommending this game but Gajin has lost touch with their players. My friends don't want to play certain game modes because they lose money. They will have fun and enjoy there match but have less to show for it afterward. Even when you win a match you can still lose. I really hope they re-balance silver lion gain and vehicle repair costs. The concepts of gaining more from performance and costs of vehicles being different makes sense but not the numbers we have now.
