This was CoD:MW2 which was SUPER popular at the time.
Steam Guard (2FA in General) was still relatively new at the time.
I didn't have it on.
Account got hacked.
Hacker used cheats.

I like everything about this game. The only criticism I have is characters-to-character introduction feels very one-sided and abrupt and it feels assumed that the characters knows each other like best friends from the moment they enter your party without any development to that point.
