I played RE2 on Xbox One on launch and it was so good I bought it again.
We have been waiting a long time for this, over 15 years in fact, and Capcom finally delivered.

If you've played the original RE2 before you kinda know what to expect with the premise. But this is RE2 in a whole new light. It's graphically stunning with Raccoon City and the characters coming alive in a whole new way. Mr X is anxiety inducing, and the game has been changed just enough from the original to not feel like you know what to expect.

BUT.....even with nostalgia goggles on there are some criticisms. First off, the enemies are so RNG dependent, there are time where you can one shot a zombie but then the zombie next to it takes 12-15 shots. Its not consistent at all.
Capcom were super lazy with the B scenarios, they're not worth playing at all. Apart from the first 2 minutes being different, it essentially puts you back into the A scenario but you cut a lot of the start out and pretty much jump to close to where you first meet Mr X. The A scenarios are both fine but the B scenarios are just lazy.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews regarding the game length, we all knew coming into this its not a long game, but the experience it gives us is worth the entry price.
At the time of writing its on sale, but if not you can easily find it on a key site for cheaper than Steam.
Buy this, play it and then play RE3 in April 2020, this game is one of the best games this decade.
