Art could be better.
Gameplay on point.

Lets you play the way you want to but offers a challeneging gameplay loop.

If Angry Birds were to release a good tower defense this is what it would be!
Really fun take on Tower Defense Games! It feels fresh, silly, bit tricky, and a bit of rage against the games Physics engine. Can't wait for the official release with more single player missions.

The game does not support the Steam Deck resolution of 1280x800. There is no available option for 30fps; it consistently runs at approximately 30fps at 1280x720. The controls feel jumpy, and air control is somewhat cumbersome. I would prefer more frequent checkpoints over healing opportunities, as the current navigation makes replaying levels frustrating. Additionally, there isn't enough exploration to incentivize revisiting areas. I also prefer not to recollect collectibles after dying; I would rather simply run through the level, similar to how Celeste handles this mechanic.

The artwork is exceptionally well done; the visual design is outstanding. The concept is intriguing, and the comic book-style navigation is quite enjoyable. However, I encountered a glitch where I passed through a white wall when learning to drop down through platforms. During battles, I sometimes fall through the floor. It can be unclear where to go next, as not all walls are distinguishable; I appreciate the destructible ripped-up walls but find the solid walls somewhat frustrating to hop over. After respawning, I am able to move again, but I would prefer this to happen more immediately.

The weapon change lacks animation, which could be improved. In some instances, I couldn't pass a checkpoint because a hidden enemy was nearby; a counter indicating when it’s safe to proceed would be helpful. Mosquito spawners are too well hidden; better visual cues to locate them would prevent unnecessary backtracking. When I attack and then move backward, I find that I run in the direction of the attack, which feels unintuitive. There are numerous attack variations that perform similar functions; I mainly use the 'X' button to smash and find that sufficient for progression.

On the windy/rainy level, the frame rate drops to approximately 15fps. Learning about the D-pad items addresses some of the earlier concerns, but I believe the game could benefit from simplified mechanics, improved checkpoint placement, and fewer items. Currently, it feels overly complex and underfocused, with insufficient attention given to core elements like movement, basic combat, and performance optimization. As a 2D, pseudo-3D-like game, it would ideally run at 60fps.

Regarding the in-game currency, after losing to the boss—whose difficulty felt somewhat unfair—I visited a town with shops, but I couldn't interact with them. Clarification on the purpose of money would be appreciated. Additionally, the town appears to feature characters with exaggerated features and furry design elements; consideration of diverse character representation might improve the overall experience. Lastly, I am unable to defeat the boss due to mechanics fatigue and fighting the game more than the boss; further guidance or mechanics to finish the fight would be helpful.

Early Access Review
The core issue with this game is a lack of fulfilling progression, I want to keep coming back but feel like I am starting at stage 1 each time. In well-designed games, the more you play, the stronger and more capable you become. Here, it’s the opposite. The longer you play, the weaker you feel—not because the difficulty ramps up, but because the item pool keeps getting more and more diluted. Eventually, success stops being about player choice or strategy and instead comes down to sheer luck.

Which is a shame, because the game itself feels great. The loop is engaging, it looks and plays nicely, and the foundation for some exciting build variety is there. On paper, the potential for creative, powerful runs exists. In practice, though, that potential rarely surfaces due to the progression problem.

There’s a genuinely good game hidden here—but it won’t truly shine until the developers address this core design flaw.

It's a small game, but it really scratches a that Zelda like adventure style game. I really enjoyed seeing the world the designer came up with and meeting the characters. It's worth a playthrough, and probably can be beat in 10 or so hours if you don't pick through every nook and cranny. Tons of little easter eggs and multiplayer to boot. The bosses are a bit simple but all felt unique and matched the style of play the dungeon had to offer.

Not sure where to find these?
Can't wait to check out the concept art!

Update: they are in game files under "Digital Extras"
Music + Artbook + Comic + Behind the Scenes + Music Video. Quite cool!

Just finished on the Steam Deck and only had one bug that had me reset when Old Itchy skin textured didn't load in a cut scene after booting up from sleep. Otherwise flawless on Medium Settings with a solid 30fps with only a few dips for 2hours sessions on a 2 year old deck. Not sure if it would rock 60fps solid but I think it run 45-60fps. Highly reccomend, and wear earbuds or a headset because damn that soundtrack is amazing!

The story, pacing, character design, enviorment design all were amazing.
This is narrative first, platformer/adventure second, and combat third.

Great set of accessibility settings to play the way you need. (settings up front)

I can't praise this game enough, if it doesn't win an award for best soundtrack, costume design, and environment design I would be surprised.

Acting was great too! Felt like a high quality disney/sony movie honestly but because it's an original IP it absolutely knocked it out of the park.

Not to mention the fact that there was some great inclusive as well! I love that a black main character was badass enough to not run from her fears or even need a male figure to save her.
I can't wait to see the cosplay community show off the final design! ;)

Ok enough ranting, go buy the game and play through it, don't forget to pick up the soundtrack as well, it's worth it!
