As someone who played the first game to death, I was worried the new 3rd person perspective won't translate well the spirit of the first game. I'm happy to say that it's similar, if not better than the first game.

There are some bugs(like game bugs) every now and then, but they are mostly bearable and can be fixed by a reset or restart.

The progression is done thru the warbond system where you earn medals from completing missions and exchange them for new gear. New warbonds can be bought with super credits but super credits can be farmed and obtained thru existing warbonds. Additional ship or firepower upgrades can be done by exchanging samples you can get by playing the game.

In my opinion, Suicidal mission is the most balanced between challenging and doable mission in late game. However, there's up to Helldive mission difficulty in the game. * edit: game difficulty was changed a few months ago and it's even playable at difficulty 10*
