Time to update my review to one that makes this game justice.

Epic Battle Fantasy 5 is a polished gem, It introduces new game mechanics into the series like a cooldown system for abilities instead of mana.
This makes for a good change because now you wont spam the same spell over and over. The summon system rework is perfect, The fact that there are so many more summons and that the effects are really nice flavor gives you a reason to actually farm them.
Buff mechanics have been reworked for the better, Status effects and Elemental resist have a bigger impact then in earlier games, For once i felt like i actually had to optimize my gear to survive and not just go for whatever gave me the most damage.
The optional bosses are very challenging (1 specific one is in my opinion the hardest in the game for mechanical reasons) yet very satisfying when you beat.
I have always liked the Epic series but i did not expect this game to be such a huge improvement, I can safely say i will buy every game Kupo ever makes, He knows how to make them well.
Only thing i want that the game doesnt offer is a counter for the chests and secret since i am a bit of a completionist in games i love.
With that being said that i can easily recomend this game to anyone who enjoy tactics of any form.
