Shadow Warrior 2 had just recently been released. I hadn't played any Shadow Warrior games before, so I wanted to play through the original (well, this game; Shadow Warrior Classic Redux), and the remake (Shadow Warrior) before I delved into the sequel to the remake. So, I launched this game, not really expecting all that much.

I was quite surprised. What I was playing was a genuine classic. A well-developed, well-written masterpiece of a game featuring the most badass protagonist with a good sense of humor. Sure, it's a 1997 game so it's not going to have ultrarealistic graphics that games of today feature. But it excels at the most important aspect of a video game; funness. This is one of the most-fun single player games I have played. It's a true gem of a game, that should not be overlooked.
