I lack the physical willpower required to 100% this game on OG Physics, I am not worthy. I must train myself for the next 365 days so that I may reach my goal in life, to finish this game with OG Physics. Wish me luck

One of the best games I have ever played, and if you find the collection on sale for hella cheap, you can guarantee that it will be one of the best purchases you make for the price of two coffees.

A TL:DR of this review:

Requirements: A potato, a Playstation 3 can run this game

Graphics: Beautiful and unique in their own way

Story: Great, but requires you to like the comedy

Gameplay: Copious amounts of content, 30+ hours for one character

Should you buy?: Definitely

The art style heavily reflects what the game is all about. This unique art style is defined by the Borderlands franchise, by using cel-shading to give off comical, yet realistic graphics. It doesn't require much more than a potato to run, and has aged well over time.

The game uses a lot of comedy in the story, and is either a put off or a turn on ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) when it comes to playing the game. I have found Claptrap to be this defining line. Many people seem to either enjoy his humour and tend to progress further into the game, or see his humour as dogsh*t, and won't progress any longer than a couple more hours.

The gameplay is looter-shooter based, meaning there is copious amounts of hours that you can sink your teeth into. 100+ hours into the game feels like scratching the surface of it for me, and I will certainly be spending many more in the near and distant future.

Most of the DLCs are definitely worth the purchase, as they add their own unique spin to the comedy of the game, and provide hours of content each. There are two types of DLC within these games, those being:
Campaign DLC
Headhunter DLC.

Campaign DLC's are what most would consider a typical DLC, new couple hour storyline, multiple new bosses, different set of enemies, etc. These are a must, especially "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep" and "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty". These both have amazing stories, and combined bring nearly as much content as the base game. The recent DLC "Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary" was also a nice addition, especially considering it was free. Thanks Gearbox.

Headhunter DLC's on the other hand, are small additions that can be done in usually less than an hour. These were done more as a festival event, and have a repeatable festive boss each, with a pretty good amount of loot. These are just filler content, not a must buy, but are a nice addition to have.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Borderlands 2, and all of its additional content. I definitely recommend this to all, even those who aren't even into FPS games. A must buy, especially on sale as part of The Handsome Collection. Handsome Jack is waiting to farm you for your money. Here is to hoping that Borderlands 3 can keep up with this masterpiece.
