I've been playing Monster Hunter from roughly it's midpoint, I started with Tri since I didn't have a Playstation back when 1 and 2 dropped, nor did I have a PSP for Freedom Unite. I've played Tri, Tri Ultimate, MonHun Portable 3rd, 4, 4 Ultimate, Generations, and into World and Rise (I didn't ever get to play Frontier, but damn would I have loved to), and I have to say that this game - World - is their masterpiece.

As it stands right now this is their best game to date and I don't mean this lightly. It's beginner and veteran friendly, supports a wide variety of playstyles due to the 14 different and unique weapons to choose from, and has a good progression system through the main storyline.

Some of the best features they've added to make this a more fast-paced and enjoyable game include (there's probably more I'm forgetting, but I'll add them as I replay through this game):
- No more loading screens in between individual numbered areas on the map.
- An auto crafting system that takes things you pick up and turns them into more useful items (Herbs -> Potions, etc.)
- Faster movement and no stamina usage when outside of a hostile monster's eyesight.
- Active resource grabbing allowing you to keep moving unless you're digging up bones or mining.
- A more proactive room decorating system with multiple rooms to decorate.
- To add to the decorations you can capture common and rare (sometimes extremely rare) fauna and keep them as pets in your room.
- The weapons attacks, combos, and new techniques provide further fluidity when fighting and chasing down monsters.
- The slinger pods that allow you to stun monsters and keep them from leaving areas is one of the best features.
- The sheer brilliance of some of the later Elder Dragon fights, of which I won't disclose for new players. But there's one in particular that is one of the sickest scenes I've ever seen.
- The addition of activatable items such as the Boosters and Mantles make this game extremely adaptive.
- A brand new style of hunt called the Siege - it was meant for 4 teams of 4 players to work together to take down giant monsters (you can now solo/4-man these).
- Being able to change the look of your armor without changing the armor itself is new to this game as well.

I do have a few complaints that are subject only to this game; The cutscenes really needed a skip feature and to allow your friends to still join you at the beginning of a hunt, but I think this is solely for the original story line (I forget if that's the case for Iceborne). Some of the weapons could have been designed better instead of monster parts slapped onto the base weapon, but I understand it could have been due to them learning a whole new system and putting some heavy time into the Quality of Life changes.

This game is great!
However you need to be in the mindset that this isn't your average "minecraft" or "voxel" game. Being a true Space Engineer requires time and some level of smarts to get some of the parts to work correctly, as well as some patience when things don't work right (because they won't).
I've made many ships of different scales - albeit horrible monstrosities because I'm bad at building - and it's very fun trying to play 3D Tetris with all the thrusters, engines, H2 and O2 tanks, generators, and reactors. Also, the ground has some really nice voxel physics and destructability, and the way you build is very easy to learn but hard to master.
I definitely suggest this game if you've wanted something between the lines of Starmade and No Man's Sky. Just be aware that if you want to make giant ships in a friend's server, you will have to mess with PCU limits, otherwise you really won't be able to do much.

This game sucks. Bottom line. And yes, after 400+ hours (including my unknown PS4 time), along with the big [Sept]November update coming, I suggest not playing this game.

Why?:

1.) It's not a game. It's a job with no paycheck. You work on the "grind" for hours for power-levels that are just content gates, and weapons and armor that won't be usable in half a year (sun-setting).

2.) It's a job you will love to hate. You'll find that with each time you log in, you lose more and more of yourself and your time to anger. Then you'll have a hard time saying bad things because you sunk tons of time into it and want friends to play it with you.

3.) It's both the easiest job and the most infuriating. Guns have bullet magnetism which means you don't have to aim and it ruins your muscle memory for any other FPS'. PVP will, at this rate, never be balanced and swivels every season. Exotic weapons and armor that dominate Crucible (pvp) take many months to patch if too strong, and could destroy entire weapon archetypes or armor pieces. You could do hundreds of Nightfalls and never get the drops you want.

4.) I don't want to let people burden themselves with a game that they will probably will lose interest in if they don't have friends who play it. The best fun in this game is playing with people you know. But if you're a solo player (like I am after my switch to PC) you may find that the game is lacking in your field.

5.) They killed off their only good NPC and haven't replaced him. R.I.P. Cayde-6, I will bring you back, even if we still get Nolan North to voice you.

Reasons to play this game?:

1.) If you're stupid like I am and have false hope for Bungie to make their game good.

I don't recommend this game at all. KOG had it going with Grand Chase, but they stomped their servers into the ground and threw their coding out for this piece of crap. From my experience playing this with a friend and trying - REALLY trying - to like this game like I did Grand Chase, I couldn't. It felt like they took 12 steps back from their previous game, but then realized they actually wanted it back, but with crappy characters, a very droll story, and bad MMO style worlds. This game takes a 2-D approach to a 3-D environment, and it doesn't work well. The controls are not as sharp as they used to be, the combos and attacks don't feel good (A lot of it is just tapping one key the entire time because jump-based and spell-based combat doesn't matter now).

This game is absolute garbage. Yes, you can travel between a bunch of planets and it's like a bunch of other variations of Terraria, but this game destroyed my power supply. I always turn off everything running in the background, and my computer can flawlessly run GTA V. But when it came to this game.. If I did anything out of the ordinary (which is necessary when the game doesn't explain anything about crafting certain items or hidden special weapons and armor) to look up any of those things, it overloaded my power supply in my computer and now it continues to shut off. I endured it for a little while, but now if I leave my pc on unattended for even 5 minutes it shuts down.
And that's just the issues it gave my hardware. This game was in production for at least 1-2 years with beta help and everything and they still don't have it working right. It's buggier than Skyrim, with issues popping up left and right with broken textures and things doing what they're not supposed to.
To top it all off, the end of the game really sucks. You go through all of this farm and grind of pixels and other items to finally get to and beat the end boss just to get..nothing of importance or rarity. There's no cool weapons, you get a slap in the face with some pixels and that's about it.
I do not recommend this game to anyone wanting to keep their pc intact, or -if you want to forgo the stability of your computer- those that would rather play a game that rewards you for playing it.

Honestly, I'd at least like money back to pay for my busted power supply.

CS:GO Review
This game sucks. They added gloves? Call of Duty gave us so much better customization that they allowed to even dab just by playing. 50 bucks for a case and a key? Gaben, you cuck. Vondyharr allows players to get and open cases for free you money grubbing asswipe.

It's definitely better than it used to be. There's [at least] 3 main quests, all with attainable endgames to give you a reason to play. You can actually play with friends compared to when I last reviewed this game back on release. There's a ton to do, including: Upgrading your exosuit, buying/exchanging/upgrading your ship, getting and upgrading/exchanging your Freighters (large space ships that hold your other ships and can go on missions), find exotic ships, make a base and farm, deal with a Settlement and all its problems, and more. Not sure if it still is worth the $60 price tag, but if you find it on a sale day, feel free to pick this game up if it interests you.

Spent way too much time on it, which I guess is a good thing if you like to play the game. It's got a diverse selection of weapons and tools to choose from to fight any of the many enemies or bosses that show up sometimes at random to try to kill you and your npc teammates. You can even pair up with friends or hop on servers and enjoy the multiplayer which ends up scaling bosses so that it makes it a challenge for everyone still. Definitely worth the cash and time spent on it.
