I can't really summarize easily how much I love this game.
Is it in the story? The "good times" chill atmosphere that adorns everything? The silly and charming characters? That they strike to my being in a weird way?
Really, can't tell you.


When I began to play this, quite a while ago...
I was hooked. I want to know where they're going. What would happen to them on their road ahead?

I really could not, for the life of me, describe to you how much I loved this world made by Nihon Falcom back then. Now that I am older, a completely different person can. And since you are here, hear me out.


Yeah, I know. It's mostly a silly TRPG, a tad romantic, and at times ingenious but nonetheless dated game


But this woke something inside me. Something I thought I totally lost.
That thing, that state of being, the feeling of unconditional love for someone.
Yes, you read that right. The tale of Joshua and Estelle Bright; this two of a kind.
Who are totally not real beings. It made me realize what I need to be happy in life.

But goes deeper than that. Now, I see the world with a subtle clarity.
Now I have an ominous path to walk in life. I like to interact with human beings in all other ways too.
Not only that. I want everyone to see me starlight as I breeze through them.
Until I eventually died and turned to ashes.
Like that a kind soul that takes on who he likes on his journey.
The man who did everything in his power to make people appreciated and loved without any other explanation than "it is just his will to do so"

That's the way I renew my way of approaching social interactions.
That year, 2019 began my change to be the best human being you could encounter.
I don't want money, nor power, not even want people to thank me.
Or, the point is to make people like me.
I just want to make this world a better place, my way.



Someone who would like me because it's what she/he wants.
Where is not a logical or practical reason behind it either.
It's not for my looks, for my skills, or for my position of power in some place.
It's just the human being he/she wants at his/her side.

You may find all of this odd, weird, or even a fairy tale. Like, there's no magic trick behind anything here. But do you know what? Who cares. I grew up a little because of this. It's just that simple.

So then... why you would i recommend the misadventures of this lovely couple? You may ask.

Well,

• Because there is a lot of heart put into this game
  
  
• The story script it's long asf, and the english translation is quirky. But has a beautiful rythm to it
  
  
• Because the characters are simple, but not for that reason any less charming.
  
  
• Cause The music by the Falcom Sound Team J.D.K. fricking rules! Kudos to them.
  
  
• The gameplay is way more polished than the first one, and it is clearly entertaining.
  
  
• Difficulty It's adequate to follow the story. Hard at times, easier at others.
  
  
• Graphics are dated by any metric possible, but the expression on the portraits totally makes up for it.

Normally, I would say something like:
"Buy it if it's on sale, or it's worth the full price" and leave it as that.

But today I'm going to say something different instead.

I feel like this game was a love letter from an anonymous sender that flew to me by mere chance.
