I believe that the game is in much better shape than some members of this forum might suggest. In comparison to CS Source and CSGO betas, CS2 appears to be quite polished.

Here are some key points I'd like to discuss:

1. Game Aesthetics: The game's visuals are indeed quite impressive.

2. Premier and Ratings: While I appreciate the Premier mode and ratings, my only concern is that solo players and grouped players share the same ladder. It seems counterintuitive to see players like old man f0rest in the top 100 while playing with a full team of professionals. This might discourage solo players, pushing them to find a stack for competitive play.

3. Map Changes: I want to commend the addition of new maps to the CS:GO pool. Overpass and Anubis are excellent additions, although Vertigo and Cobble have been somewhat disappointing in my opinion.

4. Practice Features: It's great to see the addition of a firing range and a smoke practice mode, though it appears Valve is still relying on the community for certain features. The smoke camera is a positive addition, along with the new console commands.

5. Live Viewing: I hope the game will receive more live viewing options similar to what Dota 2 has offered for a while.

6. Gameplay Mechanics: The new smokes and nade interactions are welcome additions.

7. Jump Throw Key Bind: The new jump throw mechanic is nice, but it would be even better if there were a separate key bind available in the menus for it.

8. Loadouts: Loadouts seem to be a divisive addition. Many players find them somewhat silly and not in line with the classic Counter-Strike experience. It's an aspect that hasn't been universally embraced.

9. Game Evolution: The game, while improved, feels quite similar to its predecessors. It would have been nice to see more significant changes. It might be worthwhile for Valve to consider seeking input from professional players or passionate Counter-Strike enthusiasts to enhance the game's balance and innovation.

10. Buy Menu Changes: The removal of the classic buy menu can be frustrating, but it's something players can adapt to.

11. Netcode: The netcode appears to have some significant issues, which could make or break the game for some players. It's important to address these concerns and improve the netcode to match industry standards.

12. Visual Feedback: There's a notable lack of visual feedback during sprays, making it difficult to gauge bullet placement and hit detection.

And one more point to consider:

13. Separate Russian Region: It's crucial to address the need for a separate Russian region from the EU. This would not only cater to regional preferences but also potentially improve matchmaking quality and overall gaming experience for players in both regions.

Overall, CS2 shows promise, but there are certainly areas that need attention and refinement to ensure its success in the competitive gaming scene.
