LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE with 2 people. Kept trying with 2 brand new Xbox controllers (the first game we tried with them) and it kept registering one controller as two players. Good luck controlling two players with one controller. Don't buy if you're playing with less than 4 people.

They are assigned to different players, the problem is that each player is given 2 characters to play. I hit A and my character pops up, my gf hits A and two characters pop up, I hit A again and a second character pops up for me. We just want to play with 2, we don't want to have to control 2 characters each simultaneously.

You simply have to go into the settings and assign the two controllers to different players. Yes it should do that automatically, but that's how you get around it.
