The game is obsessed with bombarding you with cinematics and on rails pokemon snap tier gameplay but at the end of the day, when you actually have control, it's just as amazing as any other monster hunter game. I'm still in low rank but the monsters I've fought so far I really enjoyed. There's a ton of really cool designs. Getting used to the fustercluck that is the UI and all the different menus and symbols scattered about can also be challenging but once you know whats up, its super fun.
