It's like a Rick and Morty episode...... one that never ends.

It's fun and funny at first, but when you got the 50th guy flying in your face with that weird mumbling, uh, yeah, delivery that's in every line.

It get's old pretty quick.

I'm not super big on simulator games, but this one hits the right spot and having continuing updates and new dlc being release for this so long after release, This is a good game that's worth the buy.

You know that old saying? "As wide as an ocean, as deep as a puddle," This game is the opposite. At first, it seems to be a simple *watch the numbers get higher* game, but it has deep and interesting mechanics to trap you in it's clutches.

This game is fun, get it.

I originally played this game on PS4, and it blew my mind.
I then played this game on PS5, and it made my jaw drop.
Playing this game now, on PC with unlocked frame rates, true ray tracing, and ultra wide screen..... I can't put it into words....

This has to be one of the most beautifully cinematic games ever. From the visuals of riding a horse through a field of grass, to sneaking around a village in the dead of night, From the sound of the trees and leaves rustling, to the music score that perfectly captures the moment with authentic instruments. From the minimalist UI and pause menu. Even the blood and visceral details narrow down to beauty. It's like this game was just made to be an artistic masterpiece. Every detail painstakingly rendered to be as beautiful as possible in a lab by the gods themselves.

The story and tone of this game is nothing to shy about either. Some call it a bit of a cliche, but what they forget is the feeling that this story portrays though the setting and acting. I play with the Japanese Voice and English subtitles and they've done a fantastic job of capturing the emotion of the characters. The characters themselves are well written, deep and complicated with their stories and emotions. The inner conflict the Jin faces is wonderfully written and acted.

The gameplay itself is like a combination of Dark Souls and Middle Earth. It is very well done and the feel of playing this game is challenging, but also rewarding. The combat itself isn't shallow at all. You can stealth and ambush, but you can also engage in a standoff with your enemies where you basically play a 1-on-1 against someone in a high-noon standoff. With different enemies, there are different stances that you can take that'll benefit you better on the fight and swapping between them is a fluent as water. There are different items and moves at your disposal that you can develop that'll help you dispatch your enemies.

All-in-all, get the game. This game is an absolutely stunning visual and audio masterpiece. The gameplay itself does not lag behind in no way. If I were to rate this game, it would be a 10/10 in all categories.

Tips to play:
Play with the Japanese voices
Don't use lock-on (in fact disable it completely in your settings)
Don't rush through the story, enjoy the sights and sounds of the world.

Like Skyrim, but in Space

In all fairness, if you're expecting the space exploration to be like No Man's Sky, you will be disappointed. You can't actually land and take off from the planet. You can't physically travel from system to system. Bethesda tried to be a realistic as possible with the "size" of space. What that means is that unlike No Man's Sky, IF you were to fly to another planet within the same solar system, it would take you months of travel time. I respect them for that. You might be annoyed by the constant loading screens, but with the "size" they made their universe, unless you want to spend several hundred years just to be able to fly from one side of a solar system, to the other.

Leveling is the same as Fallout 4's leveling system in which you have to actively dedicate skill points from leveling up to a single skill in order to get that skill. After you do, you'll have a mini-mission requirement you need to complete in order to unlock the next perk in the perk tree.

Combat is very Bethesda type. Think Fallout 4 shooting and AI. There really isn't a lot of improvement from there.

Exploration on planets are fun. I've spent a bulk of my time just running around and surveying planets, tying to find all of the resources and animals. If you're expecting each planet to be densely packed with activities and locations, you will be disappointed. Bethesda has been very clear about the emptiness of the planets. From a game-play perspective, it's a little boring, I'll admit. From a realistic and lore perspective, it makes sense. Most planets are unsettled, at most, they have an outpost or mining colony. The ones that are settled, they are filled with activities and stuff to do.

The detail in this game is amazing, and very Bethesda like. They are masters at creating the atmosphere and tone of their locations. From a beautifully detailed city with a huge network of shops, homes, and set pieces. To a desolate planet with it's barren, harsh environment. The detail of this game with really immerse you in whatever activity or place you find yourself in.

I'm only recommending this for the price, and the fun you have with friends, but I don't suggest buying it if you don't have a good group of pals, and can only do random matchmaking.

The problem with this game is that, although it is fun at first, it gets boring if you play with the same people. You start to realize the patterns in people's behaviors in what role they are. For someone like me, I play with a good group of friends and I don't really do the online matchmaking, because of the toxicity, so it gets boring after about 10-20 matches.
Don't get me wrong, this game isn't bad. It would be best enjoyed by people who are willing to play with the toxicity that is randoms. Maybe a streamer who invites their community to join. It isn't so much for me though.
Plus I hate how people get so heated up, I just like to chill, make a couple jokes, have a few laughs, but with this game I've been yelled at for calling someone out as an impostor. I've seen impostors rage quit because they got ejected after the first body was found. I've had people complain constantly about how they are never their preferred role. I've seen people play favorites and ruin games because "I'm not voting my girlfriend out, that's mean." I've seen people gang up on someone just because someone accused someone loudly without even hearing the suspect's proof of innocence. 9 times out of 10, every meeting devolves into a screaming match, I do not see how that is fun.

With friends that I know, it was enjoyable for a little bit, but it got boring really quickly.

It's a good game, but the community ruins it like they always do because no one can ever have fun anymore.
